So, a simple 5,000 credits button to undo all Talent points again. Am I alone in this?

As previously mentioned, there is already a character reset in the full game.

If anything, I would hope it would be somewhere around 100,000 credits. You can get 5,000 by failing after a few waves of silver.

And that's why it should be 5000.

Why should it be 5,000? You didn't even explain. Because you can easily get that after failing? No, you should have to work for it and not just reset it constantly.

Well, considering if you totally fubar'ed your talents, i am thinking 5k is a good price, since 100k would require you to win a match or two and if the talents are fubar'ed that would be near impossible to do, unless you are playing with overleveled players.
Either way, there is that 'reset talents' button, which i think should be available now, but thats just my opinion.

You can't possibly screw your talents up that badly. Considering most people put points into an area every time they level and not just stockpile points until they reach 20, you're bound to test out each area each time you upgrade. If you made a mistake in one evolution, it's playable and you can still win.

If someone can't win a round with ONE WRONG TALENT, then they don't deserve to be playing this game. That's just terrible.

Why shouldn't you be able to constantly respec? It doesn't make you any more powerful or anything. I loved this sort of basically free respec option in Borderlands. It allowed me to respec on the fly and experiment with new builds, thus I was leraning about different game mechanics much faster that way. Grinding your way to respec doesn't really add much, except some slight frustration maybe.
Anyway, this discussion is moot, since apparently you will be able to respec quite often when the game comes out. Thank god for that.

Because it's obvious for anyone.
I don't need to explain it. Why should it be 100 000 credits really? I don't see any good reason why it shouldn't be cheap. What would you lose if it was cheap? Nothing.
It would enable you to try out new things and get that maximum enjoyment out of your class. Nothing wrong with low prices in this. It wasn't expensive in ME2 either.

The way the unlocks work mean that you can easily start out very high level - my infiltrator was in the high teens before I unIocked the Salarian.
There's also the issue that a build which works great on Bronze can suck on Silver and Gold.
