One thing be happy u even getting prothean squadmate as dlc if u got standard edition, or before this it was exclusively CE item , so instead of hating or whinning about day 1 dlc just be happy u getting it and appreciate it.

Or, we could be annoyed about the fact that a squad mate so integral to the series has been ripped out of the main game and sold to us as an extra.
If DLC didn't exist, it would be shipped in the main game.

you dont know that if it has any major plot to it secondly you assume that it was  made when the ce  people knew about the free member and free mission they was getting  and was later changed see what i am doing here you didint pay attention to what was  said in the ce after itw as edited few times ce owners knew that was a lie due how they will try to cover it up..

You have no way of knowing it's so integeral to the plot as I wouldn't call any other extra character we've ever gotten as integeral to the plot. Plus, we've known for MONTHS now that the CE was getting an exclusive character and mission and no one was crying then. I agree with TC, just be lucky the cry babies that didn't get their CE orders in on time are getting it at all. If it's made free, that's like taking money away from the peeps that DID order and are buying the CE and oh boooy, hell no, we got a fight on our hand then buddy.

Actually no, I do understand why. A character like Zaeed would not sell $10 DLC easily. A very important lore centred character on the other hand will.
Alternatively, give it to the collectors edition (which I am buying) then give it free to everyone else a week or two later. Again, problem solved!

Again, no. CE owners paid money for the DLC, if anyone else wants it, they have to pay up to, otherwise that's like taking money out of our pockets. I didn't pay extra for early access, I paid for EXCLUSIVE ACCESS.

I'm even baffled that people think they deserve to recieve for free something that a company made with the intention of selling. Under any circumstances. The self-entitlement is mind-boggling.

10 bucks isnt bad tbh and heck why should it be free when we ce buyers paid 20 bucks evtra for ours?

i admit i dont know jack squat on buisness but seriously even for someone as slow as me can easily pick up on why the devs do what they do.


and those same people fail to realize it isnt just bioware. its every dev in the gaming buisness.

hell i even asked in that sticky thread can you honestly say the original star wars trilogy is incomplete becaus elucas changes scenes all the time? no one even replied because they know there idiots

another thing i want to touch on is people get so mad they compare mass effect to call of duty... now tell me how the hell does me even compare to that franchise?

Come on, a lithograph, patches, in-game hoodie, a fenris pet (which i hope doesnt explode out of nowhere) and several other in-game items. If you were a fan of the series I dont understand why you wouldnt put the $10 for the CE. bunch of cry babies just looking for excuses.

Isn't it sold out? Also, the stanadard game is £32.99 in the UK, the CE was(sold out) £59.99, that's a £27($42.70) difference. It's not a huge amount if you have a job, but to some kids and students, that's not a trivial amount of money.

If the DLC was ~$7/£5 it'd be much less of a problem.

Sometimes kids and students don't get to have everything they want? It's not really the job of any company to make sure their products are affordable for people with limited income. The majority of the gaming audience is not kids and students. That's a myth.

I dont get why people are complaining that they have to pay for content that wasnt intended to be release outside of the CE.
Do you think there will be complaints if BW decides to sell the other CE exclusive items seperately as well?

Actually considering it's the last game in a trilogy and the amount of items you get it in, I'd say it was very reasonably priced and I say thank you to bioware for that, and for the awesome free demo that's has more gameplay then many full games, AND the new FemShep that we fans even got a hand in choosing. Imma start calling her SexyShep, pass it on, lol.

The collectors PS3 edition is almost 70 pounds in the UK, compared to 37-39 quid that is quite a big differnace. Buying the DLC seperately actullay works out cheaper. Heck, you can even buy the artbook on amazon seperately and still not pay as much.

Me too. I don't want to deny access to them if they want it, but I did pay for it, so should they and if that makes me a "witch" then I'll gladly go hang out with Morrigan while we sneer at you and Alistair.
