I just avoid EA games in general because of the DLC crap and having to use origin,

No, most people won't. People have no self-control. Even when games are $100 with ten, $50 DLC packs just to enjoy the full game, people will still happily buy it. What can you expect from idiots?

I may buy the game I may not. Ideally I would boycott it but I'm pretty sure the industry will go down hill regardless. I definitly won't be getting the dlc though.

The worse they try to monetize from stuff like day one DLC, the more people are going to pirate it. Pirating is only a real issue if the distributor of whatever product ****s up. Stuff like Netflix and Spotify shows that people aren't unwilling to pay, given accessibility and quality at a decent price.breadedpudding wrote...
Sadly, the chances of that happening anyway are already there.

No. I still plan to buy the game, because the team behind it is ( presumably ) mostly the same who created the other two games, which I loved. If I'm disappointed, well, I won't go on wondering whether I would've liked it or not. But it will likely be the last Bioware title I buy. Not interested in DA anymore or how they plan to milk the ME series.
^ This i rather they end the ME franchise with 3 and make a new IP as i don't intend to buy anything related to ME after i get all the ME3 dlc and as for DA i also don't care for it anymore either DA2 ruined it for me and i couldn't care less what happens to that IP anymore it can crash and burn for all i care.
Aye and Star Wars The Old Republic is frankly boring. Bioware needs to step their game up. Studios like Arena Net, CDProjekt and Obsidian do what they do better

I really liked Mass Effect 2 however I will probably not buy ME3 before some time or get it for free.
And you would become a hypocrite if do the last thing you imply.
If you boycott something on principle then just stick with it by not buying or playing an illegal "copy", that principle if resort to theft of a "copy" becomes null and void if break an even bigger principle of respecting the hard work and effort of the developers put in hours and dedication that took to create the product.
Now I assume you respect the team who sat down for years making the product itself and should have principle towards not pissing all over the effort and dedication they have endured in creating it. If not then you would be the kind of fan they could do without in first place.

I stopped paying attention to anything related to TOR once the words "MMO" was muttered.

That's good. If I was EA, I would raise the price of the Standard edition of Mass Effect by 15 bucks, because clearly people like you would buy it.
I'd sure they could get away with 20 bucks too. Maybe even 30. Possibly even make origin require a monthy fee! I'm sure you could afford it and would still enjoy yourself.

I mean really Is anyone seriously going to deprive themself of some entertainment over something as petty as arguably poor videogame marketing?
I'm just curious as to weather anyone plans on it.
BTW Pre-Order Cancled:p
yes,its only a game so i find it quite easy to bypass it if it offends me in any way,or just changed too much from what i like.
on a side point al dlc offends me,it suggests lazy dev`ing,or blatent milking.

That's just stupid. When Bioware put thier games on PS3 and Xbox they accepted the possibility of second hand purchases and burrowing. It's stupid to say that this is disrespectful when they have done nothing to earn such respect.Dragoonlordz wrote...
