I have bought DDE of Mass Effect 3 because it will conclude a story I personally love, however I will not buy future Bioware games, It's not only the From Ashes DLC issue but about what Bioware used to be but now no longer is.
Bioware has become a slave to EA
EA became the publisher for Bioware somewhere in 2009
Mass Effect 1 was released in 2007 when MS was the publisher, excellent game with exploration, good story and REAL RPG elements.
Dragon Age: Origins was released in 2009, also an excellent game with interesting story and an extreme amount of depth to the choices and most of the game was developed without EA funding.
Mass Effect 2, Problably was in early development when EA became the publisher, All RPG elements ripped out, Exploration thrown right out the window, Still a good story, (Love the game but I'm a fan of RPG's not Third person Shooters with an upgrade system) Made to appeal to GoW/CoD/Halo fans.
Dragon Age 2. The game where you either love it or hate it, The only thing die hard fans cannot dispute was that the areas were extremely repetetive, This was not a typical Bioware game with choices, this was a Novel in game form, Not a single choice mattered at all because there was no time to develop any consequences.
Why EA? Why do you have to try to appeal to GoW, Halo, CoD fans? People were huge fans of ME1 and DA:O, the next game with the same mechanics or similair is gonna have alot of people talking about it anyway.
The AAA game market has become so boring so stale, All games are turning into FPS/TPS, those are dime a dozen.
