How about button for marking targets? I mean you got the both thumbsticks empty of any action, why not have it to mark targets?

It'd be very useful, imo. Especialy keeping track of those Phantoms (ofcourse the mark would vanish if they go invisible), or marking turrets that you spot so friendlies don't walk into them.

Awesome idea, right thumbstick preferably. This will allow players without mics to coordinate sufficiently.

Thread like this the other day, that I thoroughly agreed with.

My personal suggestion was < (360), as it's already unused & can't be clicked accidentally, whereas sticks can be.

I don't mean to throw the name Gears of War at this game, but the marking feature from GOW3 is amazing and should exist in pretty much every multiplayer co-op game. I find myself wishing for it constantly.

I do a decent job of quickly vocalizing: "Target is inside, mid-level," or "Engineer dropping turret right side pad," but I would love the chance to flick the R3 button and show everyone what I'm talking about.

The omni tool even allows the marking feature to make sense in terms of story, whereas in GOW3 it's simply a gameplay feature .

is that back button?

if so I think the sticks are easier to hit while ads, whereas the back button is kinda outta the way

It is indeed the "back" button, opposite of traditional start.

It might not be instantly easy to press but you aren't going to press it accidentally. That was my point :3.

That would be a very nice feature, especially for those without mics.

Great idea, and would fit in perfectly with lore and gameplay.

I'd really like to see this implemented.

I didn't do it once by accident in Gears 3. :)

Believe me, it works fine. Especialy as your aim had to be on target to make it happen.

Marking targets was incredibly useful in Gears of War 3, and it would be just as handy in MP here.

I'd love it, especially if it meant people didn't see Stasis as a "shoot this guy before I biotic explosion off him" marker

Maybe being the Leader of the Squad could give you this option?

To be fair, everyone needs to have marker, because they might spot something and need it marked. And who knows, maybe the random squad leader doesn't care about anything but blowing stuff up?

And what would PC users have? I already have enough buttons around my left hand. I don't need more.
