Marking the targets.

It'd be very useful, imo. Especialy keeping track of those Phantoms (ofcourse the mark would vanish if they go invisible), or marking turrets that you spot so friendlies don't walk into them.

My personal suggestion was < (360), as it's already unused & can't be clicked accidentally, whereas sticks can be.

I do a decent job of quickly vocalizing: "Target is inside, mid-level," or "Engineer dropping turret right side pad," but I would love the chance to flick the R3 button and show everyone what I'm talking about.
The omni tool even allows the marking feature to make sense in terms of story, whereas in GOW3 it's simply a gameplay feature .

is that back button?
if so I think the sticks are easier to hit while ads, whereas the back button is kinda outta the way

It is indeed the "back" button, opposite of traditional start.
It might not be instantly easy to press but you aren't going to press it accidentally. That was my point :3.

I'd really like to see this implemented.

I didn't do it once by accident in Gears 3.
Believe me, it works fine. Especialy as your aim had to be on target to make it happen.

Maybe being the Leader of the Squad could give you this option?
To be fair, everyone needs to have marker, because they might spot something and need it marked. And who knows, maybe the random squad leader doesn't care about anything but blowing stuff up?

How about button for marking targets? I mean you got the both thumbsticks empty of any action, why not have it to mark targets?
And at least 50ish unmapped keys on the the PC...
I support this.
