Are the graphics in Mass Effect 3 an improvement over 2's?

Being as consoles have pretty much peaked I don't expect as big of a graphical leap from 2 to 3 but is there any improvement at all?
I haven't played the demo as to avoid spoilers so what can you guys tell me who have seen it?

Incidentally has anyone noticed how fast the loading screens are on the demo?

It seems like with every new mass effect we always take one step forward then two steps back.

On this we agree.
The graphics are an improvement especially in the models and character creator. The overall increase is not earth shattering but it is certainly an improvement.

I can't take anyone who thinks the graphics in Mass Effect 1 are better than 2's seriously. Playing Mass Effect 1 after 2 is like going back a generation.
I said the main menu art of wrex/ashley, which is in game renders. I never said the game graphics, i cant take anyone seriously who cant read, you sure your not trolling ?

On PC, that is; I don't know how the console versions stack up.

No, worse. They look about 3 years outdated now.

Not what they asked.
Asked if was better than ME2, it is. Not is it the best graphics ever seen in your life or best graphics of 2011 or 2012.

Note that I'm running it on PC with a x1650 Pro, which might actually be below min spec.

The 360 SP demo looks appreciably worse by my eyeballs than ME2. Still need to check out the PC ME3 demo.
I expect the gold version of ME3 to look/run at least as good if not incrementally better than ME2 regardless of platform, but from what I've played so far, this isn't the case IMO.

I'm making a playthrough on ME2 now (XBOX) and with a keener eye you can really notice that there are times in which it looks great and then times it looks very hackish. The discrepancy is surprising.
I think that has to do with being a demo. you can only judge when the full game is out imo.

Um, please learn to read: I said worse, as in worse than ME2.
Did you seriously not catch that?
No, they are not. They are far less polished.
