I think they look better.

Anderson looks so much better too. No more awkward cone shaped head!

No they look worse.

Is this true?

Depends how you look at it. Individual elements might be better but the overall look is worse.

PC high res texture pack will be great, even though it already looks better than me2.

I'll believe it when I see it.

Honestly I think the demo looks worse than ME2.. That was one of the first thing I thought when I first played it.

I haven't played the SP half of the X360 demo (since I'd rather not spoil my first playthrough), but graphics I've seen in MP are definately better as far as combat segments go, especially with special effects (biotic explosions anyone?).

I'll reserve judgement on facial animations and cutscenes until ME3 launches.

This might have something to do with the crappy texture quality: http://xboxlive.ign.com/articles/102/1028055p1.html

Note the 2 gig size limit. Unsurprisingly, the PC version of the demo clocks it at *drum roll* 2.09 gigs.

Well, I think ME2 uses dx10 on PC version, and If im correct the demo on all platform is using dx9.
It will be nice to see if they implement dx10 or dx11 for PC version of the game.

Nope, all Mass Effect games use DX9. Not necessarilly a bad thing seeing what CD Projekt did with DX9. Still, I don't think ME3 looks better than ME2. The lighting is better but the textures are just as bad and there are more 2D sprites (crowds and even fire) and bad skyboxes. Animations are also considerably worse.

On PC, there is definite improvement in lighting and models. Animation, lipsynching and eye movement seem worse, based off the demo. Textures are still low res and blocky. At least they allow in game AA and AF now!

The graphics looks good on the Xbox 360, can't say the same for the PC or PS3.

Your right, but are they using the same engine as ME2?
IMO, judging by the demo, it looks worse than ME2, I hope they fix the animations because they suck, and the holdster thing.

Same engine, maybe a different revision of Unreal, not that it makes any discernable difference.

They are generally a slight, but nice improvement.
There are some messed up examples however, such as Anderson, and facial movements during the first Earth content.

Many of the screenshots are from an older build than the demo. You also can't judge animations from looking at a screenshot and those are important too.

There's a high res texture pack?

I won't judge ME3's graphics until the final game comes out. Mainly since things have to be sacrificed to meet the 2GB limit requirement for Xbox LIVE downloadable content.

This one gets it.

Exactly, don't judge a games graphics (thats not even out yet) until the full game is released.

Then you can jugde.

The lighting looks a bit sharper than what it did in ME2. And the art style seems to have a much more "darker" tone to it.

Also god rays and dat lense flare.

They look worse on 360 IMO.

Everything is just so dark, and the clothes Anderson and Shepard are wearing in the beginning look like PS2 textures

No. The PC has no file size limit for demos and still the textures look horrible. A bigger file size will also not benefit the animations and those 2D sprites are there because of hardware limitations, not file size.

They look the same. The Earth level was really ugly, because of it was a big open enviroment, so it looks worse than ME2. The next level against Cerberus forces looks the same as ME2.

I don't know what the deal is with the zombie hands. DA2 had that problem as well.
