I played DA2 right when it came out and haven't touched it since. One event that happened in the game I thought must be a bug. At the beginning of Act III, I had a cutscene with Merril where she finally listened to me and smashed her mirror.
Then a couple of minutes later, I bring her to the Dalish camp and she goes coocoo for Cocoa Puffs again over the mirror and precipitates the whole ridiculous slaughter of the Dalish. I thought at the time that it must have been a bug, and am wondering if anyone can clarify for me what's up.

That is an old bug which was fixed in one of the first patches. Something about having flirted with anyother party member aswell as Merrill messed up her act 3 companion quest.

Oh good...I intend on replaying the game down the road, and am glad to know that's been fixed. Of course, I was disappointed to find out that the whole Anders blowing up the church thing wasn't a bug even though I didn't help him! Oh well...
Proof of how long ago it was that I touched the game - I still don't have my Sebastian DLC achievements because they were glitched and didn't pop when I got them.
