True, but the protheans seen in the visions were not statues.

Read somewhere that the prothean talks about the statues on Ilos and says there not of the protheans.

Given that its a DLC companion, what he'll tell us will be extremely limited.
I personally would have preferred him as a full on squad mate with a little more than interactivity comments and a side quest.
Cause I'd spend the whole game going "where the hell were you five years ago? you could have saved me so much trouble!"
