Everyone starts with one alternate appearance in the main game.   From Ashes provides one as well, the CE provides another.

So, if you have the CE, you can start the game with up to four appearances for your characters.  Chris Priestly said as much on the boards.  Though with the way he worded it, it seems like even without the CE and DLC, more alternate armors and whatnot are present in the game.

I've got a theory as to why the collectors are there sorry if someones posted but I haven't read all the posts,in the screenshot with the collectors you don't see any other squad mates so my theory is shepard gets some intel about prothys location and goes to get him and while he's doing this it flashes back to prothys last stand against the collectors before the events that lead to him being frozen captured or whatever,all the while switching between shepard and prothy until they both meet. also diggin liaras new outfit reminds me of ME1 light armor

Ehh. I admit that I liked the armor, I think it was more because most armor in ME1 looked like ****.

It's not terribly surprising. It likely ties into the explanation of exactly how the flying fizzlesticks an actual living Prothean could even be alive in the present-day, which is easily the most likely writing pitfall this DLC could run into.

I concur. While I approve of the buttcoat, and 'warrior buttcoat', Im digging the fact that she gets armor.

what would REALLY be awesome is if they let us change colors for squadmate armors ala Sheps armor.

They were at the Debut trailer, I tought it was obvious....
(When the sniper looks down the scope you can see a head shaped like a collector and it was holding a gun, and husks dont hold guns)

Yeah I watched it.
The collector is not what the sniper shot.
I knew he shot a husk.
But a Collector was in the background.

Nothing wrong with power rangers. I saw the movie constantly when I was a kid. 

Also, as awful as ME2's catsuits and naked-bald-chick-running-around-in-vacuum-armor were. The actual practical and sensible armors in it were light years ahead of ME1.

Awesome to see the Collector's return. After how I ended ME2, I wasn't sure if there were any left..

I'm wondering if Collectors will be an enemy in MP. Would be awesome to fight them, I know there are husks as a enemy type, but I'd love to fight collectors too. Especially if Harbinger randomly ASSUMES CONTROL during the fight.

Dev confirmed that:

- Each character gets 2 outfits at beginning of the game.
- From ashes contains an alternative outfit for EVERY character
- CE edition gets you an EDITIONAL extra outfit for Liara, James, Kaidan, Ashley. 

So with CE edition, you start with 4 alternative outfits from the outset of the game. 


When and where was that confirmed?
