All,

This is something I've seen quite a bit as in a few Silver/Gold Lobbies on PC recently, I get placed in a Lobby with a few 70+ N7 players and most of them leave or kick me when they see my rank. Why?

I am N7 rank 25. (The 5 is from random unlocks)

Here's what's important though, I have that rank because I play as a Krogan Soldier. But that is ALL I play as, hence, I'm quite good at it. I stick close to my teamates, I don't fret about not getting kills, I try to revive whenever possible, and I DON'T run around willynilly trying to Bloodrage.

So, all you 120 rank Adepts and Widow Infiltrators, don't kick a Krogan named Turimbar, he'll keep you alive when things get too close.

Thanks for reading, add me on Origin if you want to see how a smart Krogan plays.

Yeah, people jump to conclusions based on the N7 lvl way too fast, they should give the guy a chance to see if he actually can play on silver/gold before kicking/leaving. If they aren't able to do so (playing on silver/gold), you lost five minutes of your life, such a big deal.... :P

What is your timezone? I have yet to see a Krogan Soldier that doesn't simply melee everything in their path. :pinched:

Just because does not effect how good the player is. I realise the better the player is the faster you level up, but generally the N7 rating just shows how much the player has been playing the game. You may be tons better than the level 120's, you just have not played as much.

They bring it on themselves. I had to babysit for 10 straight waves on silver last night. That's not fun.

At least you could last ten straight waves. I was teamed with a group of idiots earlier this afternoon that failed to understand that they needed to go to the freaking hacking circle.

You might well be a good player Turimbar, but when 90% of the players on gold are just plain idiots, people sure become prejudiced.

Yeah one guy on my team did that. Honestly it looked like he was trying to play the game like Halo because I never saw him take cover once.

there are 2 things that bother me in mp
1. low N7 ranks trying to play silver or gold(every other game for me aka babysitting duty)
2. young children singing loudly in a foreign language

I got executed pretty early on in the match - being by yourself against the swarm of enemies on the Firebase White landing pad can do that to you - and was forced to sit through four minutes of some idiot Adept with an assault rifle camping inside the base, shooting the odd Cerberus goon that wandered by, all the while completely oblivious to a) Hackett's countdown and B) me swearing a blue streak at him over the mic, Malcolm Tucker-style, for not having the goddamn presence of mind to go hack.

I've been on the receiving end of that and I agree it's not fun. THERE are days I'll play with my high level engineer but then I have days I want to try a new class and this far into the demo it's rough trying to break in.

Honestly though if someone drops out of a lobby just because of your level you are it's probably for the best, better to play with a more open squad and just pay no mind to the ones who lack patience.

The thing is as long as they have it over 20, then what does it matter. No need to play all the classes to be proficient at one of them.
The N7 is a bit of a poor way to judge skill.

N7 rating = combined levels of all your classes.
6 classes, 20 level cap = 120 N7 cap.

Sorry, but when I see level 15 n7 rank 15 guy in a silver lobby, I tend to quit. I think around N7 30 it is safe to assume, that one has a certain grip of the game.

And this is why I believe ME3 shouldn't have a multiplayer. It's fun as hell and when you get in a good group you can do silver and golds for 11 waves. But then you get those ass junkies that come straight from the CoD/BF3 servers and start judging people based on numbers.

I was doing a silver mission last night and I was grouped with a level 10 N7 level 4 sentinel and she ended up lasting longer than all of use and ended the match with the most medals, and highest xp.

Why do people who only play one class/species irk me so much? Seriously, true for all games, when I hear someone say they only play 1one thing with 1 play style, it seriously makes me think, why?

Honestly I don't look at the N7 rank but the charcter level itself. If I see a character below level 10 attempting Silver I am skeptical of that person's usefulness regardless of rank.

No, he could have played just as much as those players. Once you get your character to level 20, no matter how much more you play it doesn't give you more N7 levels.

Not to beat a dead horse but there are way too many people trying to jump into Gold with global ratings of like 1-5 and a level 1 or 2 character. I like to click Ready anyway half the time just to give the guys a reality check.  I might not try to kick you if you had a mid teens or higher character and if your weapons are not bottom of the barrel. I doubt many are as generous as me. Gold is pretty tough with high level characters, but it becomes more and more difficult when you have a beginner with level 1 weapons in there.

As for Silver games, I tend to discriminate a lot less in those and if they are kicking you out from them that is idiotic.  I jumped to Silver after only a few successful Bronze games and some decent weapon upgrades and leveling.

Honestly the levels of difficulty should have been another thing that you had to unlock. They nearly thought of everything, I don't really know why they didn't do this.

I never care about the N7 rating, just the level.

I searched for a silver match, joined up as a level 16, there was a 17, 19... and then a level 6 who was host. Oh well, no big deal, we can do this anyway. We all ready up, he then unreadys, then readys up again.

Just before the match started, I noticed it. Gold. He had switched the difficulty to gold at the last minute, so we could do all the hard work, and he could get a ton of free experience. I proceeded to quit, as I didn't want to help him in anyway. Only time I've ever judged a player negatively.
