I have, recently, played through the whole of ME1-2 in order to import my game to ME3. However, I screwed up. With little time until the game is released, i accidently killed Mordin on my first playthrough. In order to correct this, I loaded an older save on the same profile, and played it through, and made it with zero casualties. However, when I looked in the "save" folder of ME2, I found that the "Chapter save" file wasn't changed since the first time I finished the games last mission.
1.Is it the "Chapter save" that is imported to ME3?
2. Will I have to play the whole thing again?
3. Will the latest save override the first finish of the suicide mission?
4. Is there an easy way to change the outcome without ruining the save?
Any help is much appreciated!

If you finished the suicide mission and wanted to continue to play ME2 and if you are content with your playtrought (saving everybody) that doing a new mission or just saving will auto correct the game save files to the newest save.
I wasnt content about something that I did right before the suicide mission, so i deleted all of my save files to the curent time (my current save that that Im playing) and just start playing as if my character never did the suicide mission.
Yes you will have to play the whole thing again, there is no save editor that is 100% sure to not corupt you character saves for ME3.

Better do that in ME3 so as to not corrupt the ME2 saves.

Will importing my ME2 Shepard to ME3 be as complicated as it was last time? You know with all the copying and pasting of files etc....

That really wasnt that bad.I just hope they put dates on our imported saves (when was the date when our shepard was made), that can help a lot. I have three Shepards with the same names, same classes and look (different choices). I really dont know which is witch without a proper date.

So, if I play suicide mission again, and save everyone, the save that I will Import to ME3 will still be the one where they died?
