I tried to play via the Quick Match option, but the problem I got was
Image IPB

and after about a minute of waiting, this
Image IPB

I tried letting Origin through Windows Firewall, but that did not help.

Any ideas? I did not forward any ports, if that means anything.

The texts say "Searching for Games", and "Your connection to the game has been lost."
I'm honestly more concerned about the second. Why does it disconnect me when I'm trying to find a game?

This crap needs to end as searching for games that you can finally get into takes longer than the games themselves sometimes.

This just keeps happening over and over. A fun game but just not playable for most right now.

I was trying to figure out the cause, but apparently setting the parameters to be a bit more concrete (Noveria, Bronze) I actually found a game that was "Unknown Location, Bronze", at least the search didn't time out.

So if it says "Connection lost", just try again multiple times and you might end up in a game.

All i get is "Your connection has been lost to the game"
Have not been able to join a game since the first update on the 22nd.
Prior to that i would join a match in 3 secs tops.
I can create a game and play by myself but no one can join... this is pathetic ><

I personally have yet to play a game with the maximum 4 people. the one time i did manage to get into a game wiith 4 ppl (hosted by someone on my LAN) we were both disconnected within 15 seconds of it starting, and had to reset our internet.

While its just me and him connected we do pretty good, gotten to wave 10 as a 2 man team until we had to eliminate enemy personel, who happened to be Geth Primes, but not being in a team of 4 would have hindered us making much more progress.

keep searching the forums and have yet to find any concrete way to fix this issue......just a lot of "ensure firewall allows ME3" etc. i even went so far as to disable (at least briefly) all safety programs my computer uses (firewall, antivirus etc.) however i STILL can't seem to find games with the quick match function, however the other guy on my LAN, seems to be able to connect, just not able to do much once game starts.

Has anyone fixed this problem yet? I haven't been able to play multiplayer since I bought the game (which is a very long time ago now). There was one time where I got into a game, and i played a few rounds and then had a small break. When I came back I couldn't join quick matches or make any myself. Would really like to play this game... I have the same problem as the Pictures Zhuinden posted.

Also having the same problem. Can't connect to any public games, and nobody can connect to mine. Even when I try to invite friends or join friend's game, it gets stuck on "joining game" part and never actually joins. It started on 25th, before that I played MP for about a week, and I never had to wait long searching for a match.
I tried to install ME3 on another PC in the same LAN, and match making worked. So I tried to update install, repair install and even made a clean state reinstall on original PC, but the problem persisted. Both PCs have same OS, same OS updates installed, same firewall with same (default) options selected an use the same Internet connection through bridge-mode ADSL modem.
ME3 connects to EA servers all right, I can change characters and use the shop, but it never connects me to any ongoing games and/or lobbies. All ports needed are open. I even tried to run it with all defensive programmes stopped, but still the same result.

I had the same issue. I found that I would need to exit the game, exit origin, launch origin, and launch Mass Effect 3 from Origin. I mostly encounter this problem when I awake my computer from sleep mode and left origin on.

I have the same issue from time to time. What annoys me is it's intermittent - I'll be unable to join one game, then someone else will host and I can join fine. Then I'll crash out of that game for unrelated reasons and be unable to rejoin the game I was just in. Nothing short of a full system restart seems to fix this, and I hate restarting my computer since it takes forever.

I've had this glitch for months.

Judging by my net security programme, ME3 MP client connects to hosts' IPs, but can't complete the joining process. At first I thought it was because of incompatible game version or bugged "Resurgence" install, but even clean reinstall didn't resolve the problem.

Correction: It connects to EA server in Redwood at 159.153.235.32. And never gets past that stage.

My particular case was, it seems, caused by ports being forwarded to slave PC by that windows utility for sharing internet access, and not resetting those ports later. Turning sharing off stopped the problem from occurring, but upon turning it back on problem returned. So, it's only a temporary workaround for me, but maybe it'll help someone else.

Case got solved by disabling services in "access" options of shared connection. Anything with "EA Tunnel" and "Teredo" that forwards ports needed for ME3 co-op to a slave PC needs to be unchecked. It'll re-check itself when someone plays MP from slave PC.

Can you help me doing that? I have Windows 8 and I have no idea how I should do what you say...
