Why isn't there a male Quarian in the demo? They're not the Asari, some of them look like guys too! Do you think there will be a male Quarian in the full game or is what we see now what we get?
Male Quarian?

I figured they decided the asari and quarians would be female and the other alien races would be male. We've not even seen female turians, krogan and salarians in previous games so I doubt any of them will be female in the MP. Female quarian just evens things out (though still not quite).

Good point.
Though the only female krogan we've seen is the one in the demo. Sort of.

I thought female Salarians looked like male Salarians.

I'd like to see male quarians in the full game MP...might actually persuade me to play Quarian sometimes.

It always struck me as odd how they have human male/female builds but all the alien races are locked to one gender. I'm guessing they didn't have the time or budget to do the full treatment to all the races and I'm further guessing the male Quarian was not high on the list.
Also fun fact you can see female Turians in the Mass Effect: Evolution comic so that leaves female Salarians that we haven't seen yet in the games/media.

I think they should make Quarian infiltrators males and keep engineers as females. That way it would make a little more since and we can still play as a male.

There just needs to be a gender option in Appearance. It should be that way with Turians, Salarians, Drell, and Krogan too.
There had BETTER be playable male Quarians in full release.

according to the codex, female salarians are a rarity. salarians breed using eggs (as in, lizards) and only fertilised eggs become female salarians. the right to actually fertilise eggs is something that's negotiated and even fought over, so as a result, female salarians are rare. i guess it's a form of population control if you think about it (one female salarian, crapload of eggs, boom).
you can thank my complete and utter boredom and reading the codex for this info =P

as for male quarians, i couldn't agree more. i mean, imagine, playing a quarian voiced by adam baldwin...

From a lore standpoint it wouldn't really make much sense for female Salarians and Krogans. Salarian females are super rare because of how they moderate which genders are produced, and female Krogans usually stick together on Krogan planets what with the genophage.
Male Quarians on the other hand, would be a perfect fit.

I too hope we get male quarians in the real game in addition to the females. They are really the only alien race that we've actually been able to see both genders so I would hate for that to go to waste.

We've seen male Quarians ingame. So yes, I'd like to have them in the MP.
We've seen female Turians in the graphic novels. So equally yes, I'd like the option to play one in the MP.
As mentioned above however, Krogan & Salarian females are too rare, too important. These I can understand not seeing.
Drell? Perhaps there's room for the female of the species to be developed too?
Been brought up in other threads too really...Human female/male shouldn't be seperate, every race that is viable should be able to swap gender at will. THIS would be my +1.
