Do they have an Xbox/PC one? No offense but the PS3 version is worse since your decisions can't carry over from ME1.

This 100%

I don't know why IGN is insisting on playing the PS3 version.

Majority of players will be playing on the 360...it seems like they are doing this so that there isn't another Skyrim-like incident. I'm annoyed to say the least.

The guy is twelve hours in. I doubt he's seen all of the N7 quests.

We know for a fact that they are back; there are certainly sidequests. In addition, there are side quests given on the Citadel hub, akin ME1. So I wouldn't be worried about how many quests there are.

I would also think that sidequests are much larger than in ME1 and 2. One of ME2's sidequests was to land on an orbital station, do a minigame for several minutes, and leave. ME3's sidequests are much more connected to the overall plot of the game than in ME1 and 2, and, therefore, may be longer and many based around areas where you have key missions in.

The whole point of a side-quest is that it breaks the monotony of the main campaign. Also there's nothing to suggest what the side-quests, if any, will be "much more connected to the overall plot."

IGN has always loved ME, and the reviewer said that he's having a blast even without importing his save. It's getting a near perfect score from them, count on it.

They shouldn't have fans of games reviewing those games.

did you listen to the podcast they did about mass effect selling out? they made it clear that chobots role in the game wont affect them and there review.

despite the possitive thing they said i do disagree on there argument of the multiplayer

i highly recomend everyone go and listen to it because ign isnt always a fanboy or in it for money like people think

I'm really worried, what do you guys think the odds of the FPS issues and lip syncing issues being fixed at launch are?

If the reason for pushing it back from December to March was due to tech issues, then there's a good chance it has been addressed. If it was pushed back for something else...

The person reviewing this game is playing on the final build, so there is no chance that these issues have been addressed.

Thats utter crap if it's true. There is no reason for this, Bioware has always had very good lip syncing and there games have always been great performance wise. I bought the PS3 version of Skyrim, that was a freaking disastor. If the PS3 version of Mass Effect 3 is the same story I'll go into a **** storm.

I'm tired of developers cutting corners and ignoring obvious tech issues just so they can release on a certain date.

They probably cancelled the trial scene and recycled some of the dialogue and animation.  That might be why the lip-synching is bad.  Think about it--why would Vega say "good luck" when Shep is just going into a defense comittee meeting?  If it's a trial that makes perfect sense, but you don't need luck when there's no foreseeable negative outcome.

(This might not actually be due to them "want to release on a certain date," though.  Many decisions could have influenced it.)

One has nothing to do with the other. He's a fan, therefore his impartiality towards the quality of the game is impared. He's unable to view it's flaws without trying to overlook them because he views the game wholly different. If they have someone on staff who doesn't care one way or another, they could judge it more fairly.

After reading several post I feel as a PS3 player that I am not welcomed to be apart of this franchise. Not because of the games technical issuse, but because of the negativity of other posters towards the PS3. I think everyone should be able to enjoy the game equally regardless of their platform of choice.

I think it depends really, it could go both ways. What if he plays it and is hugely dissapointed?, thats not going to happen if he wasn't a fan in the first place.

Same thoughts exactly.

"Derp, look at Cerberus try and kill you Shepard, and you kill dozens of them. You surely must be still loyal to them."
