I'm really worried, what do you guys think the odds of the FPS issues and lip syncing issues being fixed at launch are?
If the reason for pushing it back from December to March was due to tech issues, then there's a good chance it has been addressed. If it was pushed back for something else...
The person reviewing this game is playing on the final build, so there is no chance that these issues have been addressed.
Thats utter crap if it's true. There is no reason for this, Bioware has always had very good lip syncing and there games have always been great performance wise. I bought the PS3 version of Skyrim, that was a freaking disastor. If the PS3 version of Mass Effect 3 is the same story I'll go into a **** storm.
I'm tired of developers cutting corners and ignoring obvious tech issues just so they can release on a certain date.
They probably cancelled the trial scene and recycled some of the dialogue and animation. That might be why the lip-synching is bad. Think about it--why would Vega say "good luck" when Shep is just going into a defense comittee meeting? If it's a trial that makes perfect sense, but you don't need luck when there's no foreseeable negative outcome.
(This might not actually be due to them "want to release on a certain date," though. Many decisions could have influenced it.)
