Review previews? Pretty dumb idea.. Just post the review.
No it's not dumb. It's basically a blog where the dude tells us what he experiences as he plays.
No spoiler, just the major big point, it's pretty much a review without the score. So it's just as good.
And also every few days he takes 20 questions from the comments and answer them.
It's not like he can post the review whenever he want, there is an embargo on reviews often so usually you can't post a review until a set date, and he has to finish or play a big enough portion of the game first.

Actually, it's mutually beneficial advertising. EA wouldn't have permitted the break in the review embargo unless it was certain the reviewer would speak glowingly.
It's just being pieced out so IGN can have sustained traffic.

i don't pay much attention to mainstream website reviews like from ign anyway. unlike alot of peoplei prefer to judge for myself
Must cost a lot of money to buy every single game without any prior knowledge of its quality.
This.
You've got be quite affluent or just careless to buy things blindly then judge if it was worthwhile or not.
that's not i what i meant at all..... it's hot where i am and i really can't be bothered explaining myself to this degree

But the ammo power animation is still awful!!!!
So instead of using that awful scanner to find minerals, we have to use that abomination to find war assets.

It just looks like it's missing the final layer of polishing and flaws like that at the begining of the game, what were they thinking ? The begining and the end are what people rembember most,if you want to screw up like that, do it in the middle of the game.

I'd give it no more than 85% based on that and my play from the demo. Of course I've not been incentivised by EA.

Yeah. Because that's how you review games -- on demos.

What?! I thought that's how it worked nowadays! You mean that's not how you review a product?!AlbertoAquilani wrote...

He's saying based on the tone of the review and his personal experience with the demo, there are some faults with the game and he's guessing it's going to get a 85%. This is pretty understandable especially when some of the faults the reviewer notes are faults that are in the demo itself.

Oh well, it's better than nothing and the new scanning feature really looks better and more interesting then the last one.

You'd be reviewing the demo and not the full game then.

He never said 'I think the game will get 85%', he said 'I'd give the game 85% based on the demo.' That's a huge difference.

There isn't. You get a game over screen. That was the "minigame" and I use that in the loosest terms possible.

He also stated "I'd give it no more than 85% based on that" so that's in addition to his runthrough of the demo.

Well one of the devs said there will be some minigame to escape from a Reaper.
i think that triggers if you let that meter get up and dont escape in time from what was shown in the video
