From the two or three seconds she was on screen... it looks like FemShep's walking animation was tweaked. She doesn't stomp around like a cave troll anymore.
I think that is just her animation for Hub-area / Normandy
MaleShep will get an other animation for that type of areas too (most likely)

That was the walking animation rather than the sprinting one you see in the demo.

I can put up with combat animations being shared with male Sheps. But the ME2 walking animations in hub areas and on the Normandy were awful for FemShep. That momentary look we got was encouraging, IMO.DenizYe wrote...

I mean, nothing looked bad - at all, but nothing blew me away either. To be fair to Bioware, expectations are unrealistically high

IGN just copy and paste cross platform reviews most of the time.HBC Dresden wrote...
So, for the PS3 review, they are not importing. For the Xbox 360 and PC, they better do a separate review where they do import their Shepard, otherwise this is all bogus.

Er, why?
Not sure why a game has to be judged on whether or not you imported...

Well, it's efficient that way, and so long as the review includes a bit about which versions have which technical shortcomings, it's also just dandy.
But mentioning at some point in the review what effect imports have is a pretty important point, so I hope they get to it eventually.

That makes no sense, all an imported Shepard would bring would be spoiler information that wouldn't be able to publish anyway. An import wont affect the technical aspects or the actual content of the game, the only real difference is dialogue and cameos. The game is relatively the same.

I quite like that IGN have started doing these long lead in reviews for big games, although not sure how much I'll follow this as I've somehow remained mostly unspoiled even in regards to what menus and things look like.

The original was an average game by 2007 standards and a terrible game by today's standards.
Wait... what? You mean the gameplay was average by 2007 and terrible by now. Otherwise it's a bit like saying that Chaplin's The Kid is getting worse every year because, well, we have color, sound, etc. in movies now.
Sure, I too can say that I prefer playing SC2 over Starcraft. Which I do--but that's talking about gameplay excluisvely, and this is because I already played through the storyline of both games (and I enjoyed the first game better). I thought ME2 had far better gameplay, but I still like ME1 more. Not that gameplay isn't important. But a game by a company that prides itself on crafting stories presumably has more going for itself than gameplay.

It's IGN, so I'm not hoping for an objective review. But it is nice to see the videos they're making. The Mars vid is interesting.

What you liked and which one was objectively better are two different things.Hillbillyshep wrote...
I actually liked the ME1´s gameplay better and the combat and the flow and the overall execution of the plot in ME2.
