K, the retail game sucks. Now we know. Rofl.
Er, no. The PS3 version has technical issues. That's all that was being said. And it's not unexpected; the PS3 version of ME2, which was supposedly running on ME3's engine, was a pretty bad port.
Technical hitches here and there but nothing too bad, it didn't ruin the overall experience.

I own both the PC and PS3 versions of ME2 and it was a horrible port. I was hoping they would improve the framerate but judging by the demo, I guess not.DeathSwitch109 wrote...

Not saying you're wrong but I own both versions as well. My PC version ran flawlessly for the most part but the only problems I encountered with the PS3 version was with the Vanguard's biotic charge which didn't occur very often. The framerate had very few hiccups. The only main issue was that the dialogue would cut out at the end, I fixed that with subtitles.Soulglow wrote...

IGN.
Don't care about the rating, but they do, on occasion, give a good writeup. Although they are biased when it comes to ME.
I don't really like IGN, especially not after that Avatar the last airbender season review incident. >.>

This change only made itself clear 15 or 20 hours into the game, when it becomes overwhelmingly obvious how intricately woven the sum parts of the Mass Effect series are. I found myself continually shaking my head in awe as things came together, not only from Mass Effect 2, but from Mass Effect itself. Even though I'm playing "fresh" on PlayStation 3, my extensive experience with Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 on Xbox 360 allowed me to appreciate all of the odes, both major and minor, being thrown out to characters, events and conversations that had occurred in previous games. How BioWare accomplished all of this successfully borders on mind-boggling."
.
Very interesting.

I do hate how the reviewer is going to review it right after playing the game in some hype filled tunnel and not wait a bit.

That would explain why we haven't seen any reviews other than this one "in progress." kinda stupid, but hey we take what we can get right?

Yea I was thinking 8.5 prior to this update. Now it's certainly a lock at 9.5. The question is whether the narrative can boost it to a 10 or if the technical issues hold it back.

I think after they test out the multiplayer, we're looking at a 9.6-10.

IGN only scores by .5 now. So either it's 9.5 or 10.

They do it by .5's, so I'm saying 9.5 for them...

But yeah this sounds like he suddenly fell in love with me3. Gotta a feeling that the ending, and the mp might push it to 10. At the very least a 9.5.
