Most likely, they still have to play the multiplayer

I never follow IGN. Their reviews are always biased.

They're not the only ones so I don't see the problem.

Game reviews tend to come out the day before release.

A remembrance wall on the Citadel is so cool! And if I remember my Battlestar Galactica correctly, that wall will fill up more every time we visit.

Nice touch, Bioware.

LazyAssassin15 asks... When the Reaper Awareness bar fills up and they start to come for you, you evade them, correct? Well, my question is this: what would happen if you let them come into contact with you without evading them?

Colin answers... When you scan systems for hidden assets, such as planet-side objects to collect or derelict ships to harvest for fuel, there's a chance that your electronic pulses will catch the ire of nearby Reaper scouts. Once the Reapers sense you're in an area, continued scanning will eventually and inevitably draw them into the system, where they will relentlessly chase you.

Getting away requires you to skip out of the system, whether it's via Mass Relay or by going into interstellar space en route to a new system in the same Mass Relay radius. If you don't get away, the Reaper ships catch up to the Normandy and you're greeted with a Game Over screen. Nothing spectacular. In fact, it's disappointing how unspectacular getting captured is.

thats Very Dissapointing, couldnt they just make something like kotor1 turrets fighting thing and destroy them? i found that mini game fun..

 What's the point of even putting it in?

i know right? why put that reaper thing chasing you over when it does nothing other than if they *catch you* game over image thing... if they didnt added a mini game ala kotor 1 space ship thing , its better to not put it at all. ;)

You know I had to stop reading for a second when I reached this part of the review.

"Mass Effect 2 in many ways represents the sheer potential of gaming, a force to be reckoned with that easily falls into the short list of best games of all-time. Indeed, for some of the experience, Mass Effect 3 actually felt weaker in many ways when compared to Mass Effect 2 just because it set the bar so high. But now, my feelings have markedly changed. "

I think he is blowing ME2 up a bit here. I loved ME2, but ME2 felt to me that it was missing its potential, rather than showing it. Bioware wasn't able to fully work on the game due to an outbreak of one of the flu's, the main story was literally a few short missions and I hit all sorts of bugs on my game.

Probably a little nitpicky of me, but this just bothered me a little when I read it.

Don't be surprised, IGN loves ME2... The game is always on the top 5 of almost all the lists they made.

I hope his review score reflects his sentiment about ME3 being the better game.

In my experience IGN are massive fanboys of ME. Its a good game series but I won't be taking their review as the final word.

If it's better than ME2 you would think it would get the better score but that's not always the case with reviews.

This is the same guy who wrote the KOA review and gave the game a 9. He also said KOA would challenge for Game of the year. After that review, I don't take anything he says seriously.

I don't care whether you like DA2 or not. There is no way in hell it deserved all those high reviews.

It's an opinion. Who gives a damn if someone thinks DA2 deserves a 9/10 score? I hope you're not one of those people that measures the validity of a game on a number.

Because reviewers aren't supposed to give "their opinion"

They're supposed to experiance the features of a game and review them objectivley.

I don't buy games off of review scores but they are important to a lot of people. DA2 was at best an okay game with massive technical flaws and an unpolished feel. Major publications/sites over looked these flaws because it was a AAA title from EA/Bioware. How can anyone take a review seriously when crap like DA2 gets such a great score?

Game reviews (and even reviews of other products) have rarely worked that way so I don't see the problem with it now.

 Tom Chick's impressions:
http://www.quarterto....#disqus_thread
-Thought ME1 was OK, hated ME2 (all levels felt like space dungeons, too streamlined), really liked ME3. He said it was the best out of the three-Really liked the gameplay and levels. only some "go from Point A to Point B" in ME3, but for the most part, they do a really good job making the levels more spectacular and less linear. Areas are also a lot wider-RPG elements are back and much better, finally figured out a way to combine RPG/shooter and make it feel coherent.-ME3 really feels like the most confident game Bioware has done since KotOR-Really loved the story, they resolve a lot of of really cool, long-standing arcs from previous games. Fans will love how plot arcs are resolved.
