"It's also worth noting that a few technical issues arise on the PS3 version as soon as you start playing, too. Fairly serious framerate issues plague the opening cinematic on Earth, and while this particular problem clears up as you play further through the game via future cutscenes, these hitches certainly concerned me early on. Likewise, lip-syncing is almost always off and characters sometimes appear stiff and can even flicker in and out of cutscenes when camera angles change."

K, the retail game sucks. Now we know. Rofl.
That is simply not acceptable, there better be a day one patch to fix this crap.
It's not a suprise to me.Unless develpment starts on the PS3 , then it's nearly guaranteed to have problems. But the question is , if the reviewer has a review copy(near final verions that may still have bugs.) or the retail version of the game.

I am not a fan of the new cover animation at all in the Mars video, towards the end (around 2:50). It's completely stiff now. A massive downgrade from ME2, which had Shepard peek out and felt and looked extremely fluid. I think they cut that animation out because we can now roll from cover to cover and so on, but it still just looks so stiff and bad.

Having Shep peek out might be a liability, though, because it seems even the slightest bit of cover exposure gets you shot in this game. The AI is improved enough to take advantage of it, too.

So apparently, no more scanning for ressources, which is a blessing. But this Reaper mini game seems like it could make things tedious. What stops the player from just leaving the system and coming back, except wasting time? Unless the meter doesn't lower once you exit, of course.

The original "Mass Effect" had horrible, potentially game-breaking technical issues yet no one seems to remember that, or care about it.

No it didn't, it had bad texture pop in, there was nothing gamebreaking about it.

Considering when it went gold, they're bound to be the same thing. But someone said they heard it was one of the weather-balloon copies, if I recall. Just don't quote that, I have no idea whether the rumor mill's high on something or not.

Er, no. The PS3 version has technical issues. That's all that was being said. And it's not unexpected; the PS3 version of ME2, which was supposedly running on ME3's engine, was a pretty bad port.

Er, yes. This sort of crap is 100 % unacceptable combined with the other crap they have been pulling. Huge let down.

Remember when a review just came out? there was a big bulk of text but if you didnt want to read it all you could just scroll down and look at the score or the video review. Now everything sucks...

seriously shut up. the animations look fine so quit whining

No they dont look fine so F*ck off.

let me guess you play on the pc right?

that explains your whiney attitude

Only a blind console player is so easily pleased by sub-par animations.

blind? lmao you pc nutjobs are something. a game only matters to you people if it looks good and i can tell just by your idiotic arguments about omg we have to have texture packs r thge game dosent look good wah wah wah.

funny how you dont hear the xbox nor ps3 fanbase cry moan and complain about graphics.

lol? I hear plenty of console players "moan" about graphics. You may have seen more "moaning" about graphics from PC users here, on this forum, because of the simply trivial concept of allowing them to have the high-res textures. Fact of the matter is, gamers like decent graphics. Whether that be a PC player, PS3, or an xbox player.

Besides, gamers criticize (moaning as you call it) these kinds of things. You act like only the PC players whine. Do I have to link you to the thread about holstering weapons? I'm sure those are all PC players too...

It did. Maybe you're thinking the PC version, but Xbox one had TERRIBLE framerate, no v-sync and LOTS of bugs.

You can still peak out manually, just press forward and you can see your character look out of cover.

I do it all the time for sh*ts and giggles.

Cuz I RP like dat.

Apart from the glitchtastic Thresher Maw that can magically spit acid out the side of its mouth and sometimes instantly re-appears at full health when killed, I can't think of anything that actually hinders gameplay that constitutes a TECHNICAL issue. ME1 just had a lot of DESIGN flaws.

.
Mass Effect didn't had technical problem? The 360 version? Are you sure about that?
.
It not only had texture pop in, but it had TERRIBLE frame-rate.

Seriously man, just do not try to pick this up, you will get disappointed.

Also, i like how people call a reviewer that plays the gaem biased  when he actually plays it versus the people that havent . People tend to forget that reviewers are also human with their own opinions, you like it or not thats how it is.

That's also how you tell the game you want to take advantage of rolling or sprinting to go from cover to cover quickly or to sprint directly around cover.

Now, Mass Effect had frame rate issues on PC.

i remember playing it, then playing Mass Effect 2. ME2 was so much smoother.

I loved that scene with Liara from the combat video, though I thought it would have been better with a cheexy one liner. "Eat singularity!" maybe, or "the Shadow Broker says hello."

Well yeah, that's its intended purpose.

But I really just like it because of what I stated above.

No it wasn't. And to suggest otherwise is blatant history re-writing.

The 360 version ran like sh*t, was buggy as hell, and suffered from massive slow down. And it was even pointed out in multiple reviews, so let's put away the rose-tinted glasses.

Yeah me too. After playing the PC version I don't think the 360 one is fine. The slowdowns are annoying as hell and get in the way of the shooting. Ironically, the PS3 demo made me remember 360 ME1.

This is a PS3 pre review i have a 360 so this is just not a review that concerns me. Besides reviews are so damn unreliable . Sessler's review of KoA for instance just completly biased and wrong. The fact that the PS3 version has some issues is also not a surprise this is fairly common for that console.

So the PC and 360 versions automatically suck because of technical flaws on the PS3 port has.

Your logic is transcendent. I simply cannot comprehend the brilliance of it.

I felt happy in the Hardsuit with that bit of dialog.
