IGN gives everything 10s, whether they deserve them or not. I'll wait for a review site that I actually trust to review it.

the ps3 version of MANY games has issues
Batman AA and AC. Skyrim, ME2, Crysis 2
Conversely the same games run perfectly on 360

Please note: a mod has expressed the desire that we close this rather tired thread of the conversation. I suggest we all comply.

If IGN wants to be fair they should do separate reviews for each platform and score it fairly, so none should feel bad, depending on the platform their are playing the game on.

But game looks so bad ass, Jesus Christ I need to get my hands on it right now!*goes into rage mode* headbutt time.

btw, I'm playing on 360, and apparently the graphics is going to look the same as PS3, that's what Casey said.

He was taliking about tech problems on the PS3 not graphical comparisons and there never identical.

ah but didnt something like that happend on ME 2? on the quarian mission ? there was a big geth stuff and you were talking with some quarrian guy and telling him to not peew pew cause he could get killed since he was injured ? in that dialog which was not auto they were pretty much pew pewing us recall that?

That was different, the player was 'zoning' into a new area of the map, geth were 3/4's a soccer field away.

Here, the guys he shot haven't even hit the floor yet, and more are literally jumping out of their space-escalades about to clown on Shep.

But I digress, either you're egging me on or just pulling my chain. Which both pretty much mean the same exact thing.

...Uh... what?

That has to be the least accurate summmary of IGN's failures ever. Apart from "I don't like them because the editor tried to teach cave trolls to tap-dance and got my little sister's pet gerbil killed in the process," I mean.

I wasn't aware I was enlisted to give a summery of all of IGNs failures as a site. I was just saying they give too high of scores.

He never said they were identical he just gave a general idea of the timeline for the start of the game. They could be the same and they could be different.

So far IGN reviews the story good. Shame the animations aren't better, but that's hardly ruining the game. Hope it get's patched though :)

Please. We already know it all. The released version doesn't differ much from the demo. It will have the same issues with the lip sync, the animations, fov, no trail etc. as the demo. I wont cancel my preorder, i will buy this game, buy the dlc, but like i said earlier; The expectations are 0; The story will probably be the same quality as Independence Day.

He said the demo was taken directly from the game.  Make of that what you will.

....the Mako going insane and glitching out as you're driving it....

Up until this point, I was convinced I was the only one who this ever happened to  :P    Very first time driving the Mako, it flips out, flies into the air, has a seizure for half an hour, then just hangs suspended in the sky.  This happened about halfway through Liara's mission, and when I restarted it brought me back to the beginning of the planet.

But to prove your point, I kept playing.  Sure, I was pissed, but I figured I'd give the game another chance, because it was obviously a glitch, and after KOTOR I figured I'd give the game the benefit of the doubt.

That being said, hearing about these issues worries me, still.  Likely because I've been spending so much time on the forums, and the demo didn't do much to get me excited for the game.  Also, though it was a seperate section of Bioware, my trust in the company is still shaken since DA2 let me down.  So I'm looking at any bit of negative feedback, without Bioware confirmation of how specifically those issues will be resolved, as a bad sign.

K, the retail game sucks. Now we know. Rofl.

Er, no. The PS3 version has technical issues. That's all that was being said. And it's not unexpected; the PS3 version of ME2, which was supposedly running on ME3's engine, was a pretty bad port.

Er, yes. This sort of crap is 100 % unacceptable combined with the other crap they have been pulling. Huge let down.

So the PC and 360 versions automatically suck because of technical flaws on the PS3 port has.

Your logic is transcendent. I simply cannot comprehend the brilliance of it.

wait I played the demo on my 360 and ps3 and I found no technical issues with the ps3 version in fact it played better than the 360 demo, I don't understand where the complaints of ps3 framerate and lip syncing issues are coming from.

I must be blind because my demo was fine

The Mako's never glitched out for me... the only time it's flown into the air, in fact, was when I had the misfortune to have a Thresher Maw pop out of the grown directly beneath it. And gravity worked just fine in that instance, so yeah, no glitchiness.

But then, I played it well after ME2's release, so the more obvious bugs were probably patched out by then.

The chances of them patching in new animations (if that's what you were talking about and not the actual technical issues mentioned) is practically zero.

V-sync is not lip-sync, it's something else entirely. Google it if you really want to know.

Framerates in the PS3 demo got fairly slow whenever a lot went on on-screen, which unfortunately happened whenever something big happened in the background during the Reaper invasion.
