Give us back the Old Mattock the new one dosen't feel right when trigger spamming in the multiplayer it was better in Mass Effct 2 when you could spam the trigger and the gun would respond at the rate of fire so please bioware take away the Mod Block

Once you get a few upgrades (I just got mine up to Level X today), it is pretty powerful again. Part of why it feels weaker is also less a nerf of the mattock and more that the Avenger is actually a viable weapon this time around.
They also had to nerf it slightly for two reasons.
1) So its not so overpowered compared to the other ME2 gunds
2) So they could fit even more powerful rifles into the weapon lineup

Honestly, the Mattock in ME2 was a little too effective.  If they brought every gun up to its level for balance, things would become too easy.

And while your at it put the old jogging animation from ME2 back In because the one in ME3 is trash and i can't enjoy the game in that state at all.

The Heavy Barrel mod will most likely return it to it's former glory. Looking more forward to the M99 Saber though. Who doesn't want a Mattock on steroids?

ARs and SRs have always been my preferred weapons.  Between the Saber, the Falcon (which basically fires mini-grenades), and the N7 Valkyrie (accurate, powerful, 2-round burst), I don't think I'm going to be able to make up my mind which one to take.

I know right? I'm going to be confused when I have to make up my mind between N7 Valkyrie or Argus on my first play.
