Nova-Canceling? O_o

I...I need to learn this...must go practice....

I hope you are joking. If this is a bug, then your worse than that bastard who hacked the n7 leader boards to get to ranking 180.

By exploiting this knowingly your cheating. End of story

Nice overreaction to a noncompetitive exploit. If it means I can stay alive long enough to revive teammates and distract Atlas mechs, I'm going to use it.

So you're exploiting a bug to win or further your progress?

Cheating.

Your world sounds nice. All black and white.

Explain how exploiting a bug is not cheating. My world is not black and white but this issue is.

Your cheating by knowlingly exploiting this. your winning games you don't deserve to win and used unfair exploits to achieve your victories.

hey hey stop getting your panties wet, just report this, if it is a bug it will get fixed, if is a feature (and I don't think so) it will stay unpatched.

nova cancel should be possible, but not for unlimited amount of times.

But they are cheating.
This kinda of stuff happens in PVE mmos all the time, and do you know what happens to players who exploit bugs inorder to do this kind of thing? Mass bans.
This is obviously not intended, your exploitintng nova in a way it's not meant to be used. and anyone could see this is a very unfair advantage and will likley start being used by tons of vanguards now that it's made it's way to the forums.

Just because you can do something dosen't mean you should.

PvE Mmo's ban people because the exploit they do gets them items etc, stuff they can use to gain a financial advantage over players (selling the items). Even then, they don't get banned until it is made clear it is an exploit first.

And again, claymore reload trick, people talked exactly like you did, then it turned out it was planned. So stop calling people cheaters.

Why should it be possible?

And this may stay unpatched even if it is a bug. I have not seen any indication that Bioware gives a rats ass about game balance in multiplayer.

Your doing the exact thing the MMO players are doing, by cheating your way through gold or silver you get extra credits and thus extra weapons, characters, and upgrades. But you're right they don't get banned until the devs admit it's a bug, so a dev should comment on this thread immediatley and make a statement to put players at ease, and i think anyone in this thread should ban themselves from using this tactic incase it is cheating just on morale and fair play grounds.

If a dev says this is intended i will retract my cheater accusations.

I like vanguard but that doesn't seem like much fun. If I got into a match with some dude spamming that I'd probably leave.

I'm still not sure I buy that story.  I think it was more like "Huh...reload glitch.  Enh, what the hell: leave it in."

I'd be good to have if you are serving Liqour.

I could be the designated driver.

Easy Fix

Activating Nova eats 5 or 10% of your barriers while you are invincible, so even if you cancel it you won't be able to spam it

That still sounds very OP.

Still Nova Cancel should be possible, is the only way to save yourself of doing a nova that would otherwise kill you (**** a turret!!!)

giving up 10% of your barriers for 0.5 secs of invisibility doesn't sound THAT OP, Sentinels also have invisibility as well (they can deny long distance snipes, rockets and grenades), so are they OP?

and they got it twice, once when putting tech armor on and once when blowing it up, I am sure you can find ways to abuse it as well.

I'm 99% of the time a Vanguard and I share your opinion... it just feels so... cheap. I'm actually rather upset that this made it to the demo and probably to the final game.

@Butthead
Are we still talking about a simple little glitch in a non competitive multiplayer of computergamedemo or did the topic suddenly change to a creepy mass murderer who slaughtered your whole family right after he raped them all?

Not saying you're overreacting or anything. Just curious.

You're cheapening everyone else's experience by exploiting a cheat like this. What pride is there in making it through a tough match by actually playing well when you could just cheat like any other dingus? Also, that claymore thing was an exploit, I know what Christina Norman said. Think about it, do you think a developer would admit to a design oversight?

Meh. OP playstyles get boring very fast, and this game isn't competitive. In the end, he's just making the game less enjoyable for himself.

Invincibility is not what i consider a "Little glitch"

and your a very crude person. This is a fan forum and i'm going to be passionate about the game i love, i think most others here would be too.

If it's in the full game and they can't fix it with a patch then it's a "feature".

If you did a Nova that would kill you, then you should die, period.
Charge and Nova have invincibility frames, that should be enough for our class, and actually is to most of us.
I'm against nerfing Vanguards, but I'm also against giving this class stuff it wasn't intended to have. By being able to cancel a Nova you pretty much deny the "heavy risk" part of the power, even further than the 50% barrier consumption upgrade, which is the actual upgrade intended to lessen the power's risk.

You do know, that pretty much every major shooter since the first version of counterstrike has this reload exploit, right?
