Know how to make the NEW FemShep face in ME1?

I did a quick search of the ME3 forum and didn't find a relevant topic, so either I was searching wrong or it doesn't exist. Sorry in advance if I didn't see it.

Anyway, I've decided to finally start up another Shepard in preparation for ME3. I was just going to buy the Genesis DLC to pick stuff from ME1, then remembered that I'd miss out on perks and minor plot hooks from the original and changed my mind. Now I'm at the Shepard customization screen, and it donned on me: I could make her look like the new FemShep, or at least as close as possible. That way it wouldn't feel weird to pick the new design, like it would for my custom FemShep from earlier.

So, has anyone tried this? Know the best slections for making her look like the new one? I'm toying with it now, but it's hard without seeing them side by side. I could possibly download the PC demo and switch back and forth until they look right (I'm replaying ME1 on Xbox now), but I was curious if anyone had already done this and knew a good combination.

If a really good way is found, I'll update this post with it for similarly minded people to find. ^_^

Note: I just remembered I haven't checked the ME2 saves site. Perhaps someone's already ahead of the curve there...

Do the new face codes work with the old games and vice versa or is it a new system?

Think someone already did it (or it was one of the presets?), if you want to dig through over 200 pages of the Femshep thread, you may find it (I'd look but dont have time atm, sorry).

Thanks Beeker. Too lazy, but it's still nice that you're helpful. ^^

And Manual, she's a default; far as I know she doesn't have an actual code. And some of the stuff won't be available, such as the hair and freckles. But I figure I can make her look as close as possible, because I'm picky like that.

This is the closest I've found. The code is for ME2, the sliders for ME1 are in the comments.

Hair, freckles... blessedly straight nose... apart from that, it's really just a hop, skip, and a jump from the default face in ME1, really. =3

Thanks Doofe, that's exactly what I was looking for!

It's entirely possible we might be able to get the freckles with the proper code. The graphics are there, but they aren't part of any of the default sliders, but some of them only go from zero to say "W" in the code, perhaps making it X, Y, or Z in the code might put in the proper data.

Granted, it would take a considerable amount of time messing with it to find out, and I wouldn't get my hopes up too much. I did find all the default preset face codes in the Coalesced.bin file, but the red hair and freckles look isnt listed there, though it may be elsewhere if I get time to keep looking.

It would be worth having the data if we can find it, thats for sure.

That one's not spot on, but it's a pretty decent try at default FemShep. Wonder how she'll translate to the full game.

The one that I posted? I don't know about a direct import, but when you copy and paste the code into the ME3 CC, you have to change the hair color to the first red, the skin tone one shade darker, the lips from 1 to 4, the eyes to the darker (more emerald) shade of green, the eyebrows one shade lighter, and the nose to the shape that has more of a straight bridge (it's one movement over on the slider).

The funny thing about those steps is, while it makes it closer to the in-game Femshep default, it makes it look less like the artwork with every step.

That's true. However, most of those were done just for realism's sake. The original code without the skin color change looks almost albino in the Earth level of the demo. Shepard's a Marine, she's gonna have a bit of a tan. The eyebrow change is so Shep isn't a redhead with thick black eyebrows. The iris color change is to avoid the what I call the "Zaeed effect", that is the irises are so light it's somewhat unnerving. The lip change is to make the bottom lip a tad thicker (which is closer to the artwork, btw) while keeping the same mouth shape. The hair color change has to be done since the shade of red from ME1 and ME2 is no longer in ME3 going by the demo's CC. The nose change is the only one that makes Shep look more like the in-game default.

OP,
I have also been looking for the same thing. Came across the one Doofe2012 gave you and this one, which is also really nice. They seem to be the best options out there. =)

For reference, I tried the 2 faces in this thread in the ME3 demo andthey seem to look quite different to the images on the database. One of the faces though I quite liked and will try in 1 or 2 at somepoint, hopefully find a nice code for 3 somewhere soon.

Yeah, I took the one Doofe offered (using the ME1 slider options at the bottom), and didn't fully like it. They didn't make her face long enough, if that makes sense. I pushed her nose and lips out more and it looked much more like the new FemShep design.

In general, it can't be perfect, but it's close enough that it won't feel weird to choose the new FemShep look in ME3. That's what I was going for. I'm sure that some FemShep fan somewhere will make it so that we can use a better rendition of ME3 FemShep in the PC version, but I'm on Xbox for now.

Well, actually the plan was to use these codes in ME1/2 as a transition of sorts to the ME3 new default... not in ME3.

Exactly. Until I (and others, I'm sure) found the default FemShep in ME3 to be significantly lacking in quality.

It's not bad at all, I used it in 2. I'm just wondering if there'll be more options in the CC in 3 than the demo gave us.

definitely, but im betting they will MAKE US pay to see the "goodies" AS USUAL! Which I consider to be disgusting to suck money out of people who've already spent over 100$ on the game and it's not even out in physical form in our hands already. (i bought the CE guide, couldn't help resisting the temptation)

Wouldn't the Default ME3 code: 743.CHI.H1B.78A.DSL.45E.ADE.78G.F8C.CP3.2G6.116
and this: http://social.biowar...m/project/4781/

Make it usable in ME2?

Been a while, anyone found better faces since? I'm considering playing a Renegade (probably won't make it though) FemShep in all three games.

I got these 3 face codes off masseffect2faces.com.  However I did edit them slightly to my preferences so I'm not entirely sure what the originals were, also they were based more on the art work than the actual in game model but still, I think all 3 look good.
