Everytime I start a new character in Mass Effect 2 I find myself unable to control my laughter at a rather serious part of the intro video. Liara/Ashley/Kaiden is trying to get everyone to the escape pods when a corrider explodes and throws a female crew member across the room screaming to her death. Everytime I see that scene I can't help but bust out laughing...

My question is, am I the only one that gets that way when they see that or do most people do that? It just sounds so rediculous in the middle of a rather serious part of the game and I can't control myself...

Ermm, no, I didn't laugh at that, but one thing did make me laugh, it's the scream from one of the crew members (man). I know I heard that specific scream before, I THINK (really not sure about it anymore) that I heard that EXACT scream in one of the Twisted Metal games on the original PlayStation (yeah that's many years ago). I heard it in many other games, and I think it comes from a movie but I'm not sure. It's not the "Wilhelm scream" though.

The scream I speak of is heard at around 3:58 in this video:

Each time I hear that specific scream I shake my head, smiling, thinking that the scream finds its way in yet another game. It's pretty much the only part of the intro that makes me smile somewhat, the rest is too intense in my book to laugh at anything going on. That woman you speak of, she dies so fast, but I don't really find that part funny.

thanks for your reply...I think the scream itself is also what makes me laugh and not the actual girl dying...since I too think I've heard that particular scream before in other places...sounds like some cheesy horror flick scream....
