Hello, I would like to say that I have played ME1 and ME2, multiple times and I guess you can say that the Mass Effect series is one of my favorite game franchises but I feel like my understanding of the story is on the rusty side. So if you don't mind, could someone explain the plot and all that to me, starting from Mass Effect 1. Thank you :]

It'd be too long to go in details on a mere forum post really, the ME universe is too rich and detailed for that, so I think that a good place to start is the Wiki site. If not, there's the in-game codex, or the novels. If not then... well, just re-play the games!
