One of my favorite characters is The Joker from Batman...... Please find the real world equivelant to that....
and I seem to have missed the DLC where Jack "tortures" for pleasure.....

Hate is a bit of a strong word, but characters I had little to no interest in:

Ashley
Kaidan
ME1 Liara
ME1 Tali

Basically the entire ME1 party, barring Wrex and to a lesser extent Garrus.

Zaeed! God did I hate him.

Liara annoyed me in ME1 but was better in ME2. Still don't like that she will be part of my ME3 squad.

I am fine with everyone else. Even Kaidan has become more interesting the more I play ME1.

If there's any reason the Virmire choice was hard it's because both Ashley and Kaidan really annoyed me in ME1, hope it changes in ME3.
I also didn't really like Jacob or Miranda that much and hated Mornith. No idea why they made her available as squadmate it was ridiculous even for renegade Shepard.
Non squad would be turian councilor and Udina, these 2 represent everything to be hated in politicians.

I still love the characters I hate the most.

Or rather... I don't REALLY hate any of the characters in either game, but some irk me.


My number one would be Liara. Don't kill me fans! 

Basically, you're forced to pick her up, forced into killing her mother so she can have a sad scene/get shocked that you killed her, forced to have borderline sex with her (the whole "Embrace eternity" thing creeps me out aswell), and her race is generally known for being promiscuous, although that's not really noticeable with her.

I did warm up to her and found her endearing by the end since she was more upbeat and hopeful than some of your other squadmates.

Come Mass Effect 2 where... Honestly... She scared me to death. I did warm up to her when LOtSB came out, and I found the old Liara again.

The other squadmate I'm not too fond of is Morinth for reasons that should be obvious.

Samara openly states that she will kill Shepard after the mission is complete if the Commander makes her do anything "dishonorable". Many Renegade actions would, obviously, qualify. Bringing Morinth onto the team would neatly solve that problem preemptively.

With that said, I wish she actually had had a bit more development as a character, and that she wasn't mostly just one-dimensional evil.

Kaidan is a lady who leaves being the male lead to Ashley.
Jacob is likable, but he´s such a horrible waste of space and badly executed.
Garrus is annoying and too proud. And he fails at everything he does.
Tali is a weak, annoying and a pathetic quarian.
Jack is a mass-murderer.

Jacob - Confused Soldier, to cliche. Boring character all around.
Miranda - Miss Perfect to cater to the male crowd and give them eyecandy.
Liara -  A character that had a 180 In personality to shoehorn her into a DLC.
Wrex - Klingon.. To much chest pounding.. very shallow character.
Grunt - Even worse than Wrex.
Zaeed - Hardcorez Merc.. Worthless character.
Jack - Hardcore ****. Shallow character.
Kaiden - Whiner, Killed Him because he is a male and a whiner. His character is boring as hell.
Garrus - I iz Vigilante cop.. boring character.

Characters I don't Hate or Like:
Samara - Shallow character.. /shrug.
Thane - He is alright, to much Sherlock Holmes though. A character made for females to have eyecandy. Can't say it worked.
Mordin - Guilthy Doctor, shallow, however no direct reason to hate him.

Characters I enjoy:
Kasumi - Shallow, a typical asian ninja chick. However, I like her devious nature.
Tali - Tech Chick, stereotype but one of the last characters not to be over sexualized.
Legion -  I love the whole AI thing going on.. and cold personality.

Characters to hit my "hate" list:
EDI - Mass Effects version of a SexBot.. stupid BioWare.. Over Sexualizing an AI.
Ashley - Over Sexualized for male audience, good job again BioWare. Start out with a strong female cast and then turn them into Eye Candy for your male viewers. Guess this what happens when you turn corporate.

Thane's literally nothing like Holmes. If anything, he's more William Mundy from Unforgiven.

I could understant why people could hate Kaidan because of his personlity, but why one of the reason you kill him is because he's a guy?

I wouldn't be distraught over the death of any human (previous or current) squadmate, with the exceptions of Jack and Kasumi. Wouldn't mind much if Grunt died. Everyone else I'd be upset over.

Well, there's a considerable bit of difference between Downey!Holmes and Doyle!Holmes. But even still, Downey's Holmes is fundamentally a law-abiding person with little interest in the morality of what he is doing. Thane is fundamentally a person who breaks laws into little tiny pieces, but who has immense amounts of interest in the morality of what he's doing.

That's why I compared him to William Mundy. They're both former assassins who "woke up" when they met their respective future wives. But now their wives are dead, both have children, and both grapple with the consequences of their former lives while simultaneously attempting to be fathers. It's not a great comparison, but the bones of it are there.

Also, I can totally see Thane doing this.

Kaiden, Jacob, Ashley - All bland, flat, generic characters who are trapped at the bottom of the uncanny valley.

Tali - more due to her obsessive fans than herself though. If I were writing ME3 I'd kill her off in the first five minutes just to spite the Talimancers.

Yeah this bothered me too as you can see my response on page 6. I won't ignore it, I reported the OP and this shouldn't be tolerated. It's funny he didn't say crazy WHITE chick, Wierd russian sounding evirosuit chick, but felt it necessary to say black guy. Interesting. 

OP grow some balls and just say how you feel. If you have a problem with black people just say it and stop being a B**** hiding behind your questionable wording and videogames. 

In fact, just get some confidence and say it blatantly, Coward.

People still think racism makes sense. Shows how stupid humanity can be.

well dumb**** i how would i describe him if i dont know his name? the african american guy? oh thats right hes not american or african so im left with refering to him as a black man because that is the only black character on my crew that i others will know who i am talking about, take your racist card and go shove it. its 2012 racism doesnt really exist anymore, i even gave a black woman 10$ at a target in an all black neighborhood when no other black person there would, so take your cry baby racist card somewhere else moron

You do know that racism isn't related only to people with a dark skin, right? Racism still exists.

So the male characters targetted at women are "eyecandy".

But the female characters targetted at males are "oversexualised".
