I am curious why BioWare chose Firebase Ghost and Firebase White as the two maps for the multiplayer demo? I am not suggesting there is anything wrong with their selection. I am simply curious to know if there were specific reasons for choosing these two over any of the other maps that will be in the full retail game.
Were they simply the two most complete maps and therefore selected for readiness?
Were they the most generic of the maps and chosen as the two most spoiler-free maps?
Were there specific map design aspects of these two maps that BioWare wanted to show-off?
There must have been a reason these two particular maps were chosen over the rest. I simply want to know why.
BioWare has already discussed in blogs, forums, articles, and interviews why they chose the two missions they did for the single-player demo. I have yet to read anything explaining their choice of Firebase Ghost and Firebase White.
Why choose Firebase Ghost/White for MP demo?

They're both in the same area on the galaxy map?

I really like Noveria, too bad it's not just a bit larger.

Noveria's all right, but there are an awful lot of chokepoints. I particularly despise the landing pad, because there are limited avenues of egress (two of which go effectively in the same direction) but Cerberus can come from anywhere, not just the landward side.
The Slums are generally a bit more fun, but some of the areas are restricting in other ways. Some of the upload sites have very limited fields of fire, for instance, which can be very annoying and, on higher difficulties, can practically mandate a forward defense.

Maybe they're the first two "unlocked" by the single-player campaign.
I'm curious to see how dependent multiplayer is on the single-player.
