-The „Role-Play“ mode of the game (In contrast to „Action“ and „Story“) feels very much like ME1
In summary, the game builds on the strenghts of ME2 and takes some notes from ME1 to create the most compelling experience in the franchise yet.
That's what I was waiting to hear confirmation on.
Well done, BioWare, well done.

Where did you get that information? I'm a subscriber and I usually get the mag a few days early, but instead I got a mail that printing was delayed for two days because of Max Payne 3 and ME3.
Edit:
Ok nevermind. There is a preview of the article.... Strange times in which reviews get a preview.

Those 100 scenes.....they say more than 100 scenes will be influenced by decisions from ME1 and ME2 if you import a saved game.

German can actually sound very sophisticated and heartfelt. The German pronounciation isn't anything like Sarah Chalke would lead you to believe.SNascimento wrote...

I'm not taking about actual planning I'm saying the way the level works seemed a lot mor erealistic then constantly being flown ina shuttle to places which have no defenses and you can just keep getting dropped off literally right at the back door where you can walk right in.
Things like having to disable AA guns so that the Normandy can come forward to the base camp just adds to the level.
And if we're not talking about main quests, what are we talking about?
Actually they had to take the Shuttle multiple times because the Normandy was too big and would get shot down since stealth systems don't work when they can actually see you. Korlus and Horizon was a couple of planets you needed Shuttles.
Disabling the AA guns was a specific objective only useful for that mission since the Normandy had no other way to extract or deploy people on the ground. Using a shuttle was just simpler in ME2.
The only Main quests that you can claim were inventive were Virmire and Feros. Even then the second you get inside a building it isn't really anything special at all. The only good parts about the level design is the vehicle portions. ME2 Overlord had some pretty good environments for the vehicle parts that felt better than ME1.

And most only remember the 3 good levels in ME 1 while ignoring the 47 bad ones. 3/50 isn't a great score. Nor does it mean a game had good levels.
In your own, subjective and highly emotional opinion

Only mission I can recall where you had to actually make your way to a compound was Zaeed's loyalty mission. Other than that it was like getting dropped off at the door before the driver went to park the car. The scenes where you would hear an announcement that a shuttle just landed at the back entrance would always make me laugh.
Did these places have no scanners, radar, security of any kind? And I found no quests in ME2 inventive. Just gey dropped off, run through the linear area and get literally get picked back up at the end.
