I'm not taking about actual planning I'm saying the way the level works seemed a lot mor erealistic then constantly being flown ina shuttle to places which have no defenses and you can just keep getting dropped off literally right at the back door where you can walk right in.
Things like having to disable AA guns so that the Normandy can come forward to the base camp just adds to the level.
And if we're not talking about main quests, what are we talking about?
Actually they had to take the Shuttle multiple times because the Normandy was too big and would get shot down since stealth systems don't work when they can actually see you. Korlus and Horizon was a couple of planets you needed Shuttles.
Disabling the AA guns was a specific objective only useful for that mission since the Normandy had no other way to extract or deploy people on the ground. Using a shuttle was just simpler in ME2.
The only Main quests that you can claim were inventive were Virmire and Feros. Even then the second you get inside a building it isn't really anything special at all. The only good parts about the level design is the vehicle portions. ME2 Overlord had some pretty good environments for the vehicle parts that felt better than ME1.
Only mission I can recall where you had to actually make your way to a compound was Zaeed's loyalty mission. Other than that it was like getting dropped off at the door before the driver went to park the car. The scenes where you would hear an announcement that a shuttle just landed at the back entrance would always make me laugh.
Did these places have no scanners, radar, security of any kind? And I found no quests in ME2 inventive. Just gey dropped off, run through the linear area and get literally get picked back up at the end.

It's funny how hard Bioware works on the codex and nobody listens/reads them. In the Codex it says the Kodiak has a stealth-system built onboard alongside several other features which allow it to move undetected in enemy territory. Similar to the Normandy in fact. I can't quote it from the top of my head, but I recommend checking it out.

People have eyes. I don't care what kind of stealth system you have. You're not going to make it literally to the back door of a base, a lot of times in broad daylight.

This.
The game isn't a PVP MMO. class balance is not a game breaking issue in a game that is predominantly a single player experience, with an optional co/op mode.

Well, if they reviewed the PS3 version and don't mention the framerate issues that's great I guess?

We already know that Shepards death is one of multiple endings. You can have an appropriate wrap up without the main character dying.

I doubt anybody's seen this movie, but it just came to my mind when I saw this. No offense intended.

Well, they cared because to them, some class powers were rendered less significant and/or useful as they would have wanted them to be.TexasToast712 wrote...

Thanks Deniz for the scores. If an usually skeptical company gives ME3 a 9, I wonder what IGN/GS would give it...
well IGN would prob give it 11/10 (10/10 for the game and +1 point for Chobot)
Mass Effect
The success of The Old Republic was only part of the current Bioware story, however. Mass Effect 3 is on the way, and it has much to live up to after the first two games. Does the game have any chance of sticking the landing? Will it offer a conclusion that satisfies the fans? “I just finished an end to end playthrough, for me the ending was the most satisfying of any game I’ve ever played… the decisions you make in this game are epic,” Dr. Muzyka promised. “The team has been planning for this for years, since the beginning of the Mass Effect franchise. Largely the same team, most of the same leads have worked on this for years and years. They’ve thought about [the ending] for years and years. It’s not something they’ve had to solve in a week or a month even, but over the course of five or ten years.” He used all the expected buzzwords to describe the ending: visceral, powerful, and rewarding. We’re also promised the feeling of wanting more and, of course, after the credits…
There's the confirmation of the event after the credits at the very least.

Why are reviewers using the PS3 version? (isn't IGN using it too?) Especially in IGN's case, where they use 1 game version to review them all. Isn't the PS3 version plagued with framerate and other graphical issues?
