Weirded by the AI comment still...Not to be labelled a biodrone, but there is such a LARGE discrepancy between how good the AI is in ME3 compared to ME2 that maybe the reviewer is comparing it to the AI in other shooters (first or third).
Well the robot in the demo is a dumb as a box of rocks as is the AI in general depending on how you approach situations. Example final battle hang out at the back of the stairs and watch what happens.

because me1 is usually takes 30 hours no sidequests and Me2 normally takes me 35 hours no sidequests.

And if you took that long just for the MQ in both games when most could it in a third of your time, then the MQ in ME 3 will probably last you a good 40 hours.

If it's a magazine, they have a once a month release... They have no choice but to review the version available.FluffyScarf wrote...
Good question. PC version is still 'locked'. Maybe they just wanted to say 'first!'
Otherwise, it's a one month wait ... They still need to sell. Paper magazine already have enough trouble as it is.
Anyway, I am disapointed in the lengh... Too short.
The 40 hours "total" are 40 hours for the side quest? The way it's written leads me to believe it is as it is after the time for the MQ, but the "total" says the opposite...
A dev in an interview said that he was doing a ME3 playthrough, and he was at 60% of the game, and it was already longer than ME2 was... I thought since he was giving a ratio and not "hours" it might be accurate...
But 40 hours total for the last of the trilogy? :s
That would be disapointing.

skyrims main quest is much shorter than that, and even fallout 3 you can beat the main questlines of both of those in one day,
the main quest in those games is nothing compared too the rest of the game though
if any one thinks the cutscene time is a bit short its probaly because they only counted the cut scenes from the main missions, and not the ones where your just talking to people, like squad members and such, and didnt count the investigate options, because thats what happened with mass effect 2 i think its like 82 mins in that i saw on wiki, but we all know that its more,

I beat ME1 in 15 hours with almost every sidequest on normal difficulty. I beat ME2 in 25 hours with almost every sidequest and all the story DLC on insanity. 15-20 hours for a main quest is very long.JimmyTheProthean wrote...
I'm not happy at this 15-20 hours main quest playtime hope that was just the reviewer!

Intense ending with no loose ends, so i take it everybody dies?hagren wrote...
-No loose ends or cliffhangers, the game is truly an appropriate end to the trilogy with a very intense and touching finale

To be honest, that will probably end up happening to me, too. For example, my last ME2 playthrough - the one which I'm going to import into ME3 - took 91 hours.

Hmm, given the animations are supposedly no different than what can be seen in the demo, the fact they'd specifically say they're good... well. something to keep in mind when judging the credibility of rest of the review, i guess.hagren wrote...
-Graphically, the low polycount, lack of detail and low texture resolution disappoints- the characters are well animated and modeled however, and the overall look, despite its age, is quite moody

That depends on how you play it (which say said it though), most of the ME gamers have played it through in ~20-30 hours.

Im betting that the author dident play on Insanity/or Hardcore so thats why the AI was standing out in the open doing Jack.
That gave me an interesting mental image.

Rocks fall, everyone dies is the definition of an inappropriate ending.

on normel i can beat mass effect 1 and mass effect 2 in less time than that, so if anything mass effect 3 main quest will be longer than the others

ME1's main quests barely took 12 hours - you have Eden Prime, the Citadel, Noveria, Feros, Virmire, Liara's mission, Illos and the Citadel again. Not sure how that could take 30 hours.JimmyTheProthean wrote...

My 100% complete insanity run, including all DLC, took 39 hours. I can't even fathom how you could spend 91 hours on one playthrough. Thats probably worthy of a medal or something.JaegerBane wrote...
