GameStar is a pretty good source for reviews. I'm glad they like it.

I honestly don't care if there's some holes in the story as I know ME3 will be one hell of a ride regardless.

91 hours??!?!

How the hell can ANY game take that long?

Even in insanity when I scanned ALL the planets and did all the sidequests and upgraded everything (main game only) came up to 25 hours.

Well I doubt ME3 will blown my mind on story level, since that's the only thing that actually stimulates me when it comes to games nowdays.

I get more picky by age.

Hmm, Gamestar -Germany's biggest print pc-magazine. They're reliable...but I believe they also gave DA2 a score around 87-89%. So there's that.

Just half it, reviews ALWAYS do this. I imagine the full completionist run will be 40 hours, much like ME1.

Anyway...

Want.

Game.

So.

Bad.

Trains.

Hnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngh.

For a review, it wasn't much of a critique.

Maybe they just didn't find that many flaws.

Now everyone brags about their insanity runs... Some people just like to waste time in a game and have fun. Although if an average playthrough takes 40 hours, that's perfectly fine.

I'm not happy at this 15-20 hours main quest playtime hope that was just the reviewer!
because me1 is usually takes 30 hours no sidequests and Me2 normally takes me 35 hours no sidequests.

ME1 takes less than 10 hours to complete if you concentrate on the main missions.

25h for Insanity and all planet scanned? Wow :D That is fast. You skipped all the dialog ?
But no matter what... you have to be a pretty good player :D kudos :)

I'm still happy that the MQ is about 15 hours long.

15 hours if you only do the MQ. It's longer than ME 1, 2, TW2. Even the MQ for a big argh-pee-gee like Lagrim was only about 10 hours.

You realy do have some sort of vendetta against skyrim, don't you?

But they did point out almost every flaw in the game fairly, like the horrible ending and repeated environments. The score actually seemed inflated compared to the amount of criticism they leveled toward it. That doesn't seem to be the case here.

By taking my time? I didn't speed run anything, did every single N7 mission, every single DLC.

Like I said, I rarely, if ever, complete games like this in anywhere near the minimum times posted.

This is the highest they have given a ME game. So it's still all good.

You all should know that Gamestar is a german magazine being very skeptical and are moaning about many things, so this is a pretty decent review i guess :)

Gamestar had been my favourite gaming magazine in Germany for a long time (actually mor or less the only one I regularly read), and I used to look at their scores to get an idea about wether I'd like a game or not. There are still some reviewers for certain games and genres whose opinion I trust, but all in all I just don't listen to professional reviewers that much any more.

The score that finally made me think that either Gamestar's RPG reviewers don't even try to be objective anymore or that mine and Gamestar's priorities and views were really really not compatible was that for Dragon Age 2 (surprise, surprise). Giving DA2 a rating of 9/10 in the category Atmosphere... just no.

-Graphically, the low polycount, lack of detail and low texture resolution disappoints- the characters are well animated and modeled however, and the overall look, despite its age, is quite moody

I don't understand.. what happened, Bioware? ME2 was a pretty big leap up from ME1.. it sounds like ME3 is a regress.

Many thanks for that scan mika.

Now, we just need someone who has telescopic vision and can read German.

And it's the PS3 version Catsith. Maybe GameStar were comparing it to the likes of Arkham, Uncharted, Ass. Creed.

Really? You didn't find the other BW games to be great story wise?

Intense ending with no loose ends, so i take it everybody dies?

Rocks fall, everyone dies is the definition of an inappropriate ending.

Actually, not for the majority of people of the world. You should try watching some asian movies, everybody dies is the default expected ending there hehe.

And Edge gave GTA 4 a 98. And Crysis 1 a 91. Does that mean they can't be trusted too?

All BW rpgs have the "Dragon invading the realm" story.
