I find it unacceptable to set him free, regardless of Open palm or Closed fist playtrough and actually like his endings if not set free.

Wish there was an option to explain my motives to the party.The best part of the game I think, is influencing/corrupting your love interest, its absolutely brilliant.

Played thru open palm and set him free. Played thru again closed fist and held onto him. Half of my team hated me. Dawn Star turned on me so I had to capture their spirits. Funny thing playing closed fist is I loaded up on intimidation gems and Silk Fox/Princess Lian was more submissive and pushes you on to capture Death's Hand and be 'evil' for lack of a better word.

I don't think people realize how in depth the morality system is in this game and if they did would apprecitate it more..present company excluded:)

I've done all the options: I've let him go and kept him - both resulting in the anger and support of my love interest.

I just recently finished another playthrough. I bound Death's Hand to my will. My LI, Dawn Star, approved because I influenced her to the Way of the Closed Fist. Sky, Silk Fox, & Henpecked Hou were not so approving of it. So i bound them as well. I love this game and really wished they would've made a sequel.
