makes sense to have at least have one squad member from mass effect 2  


they would not redesigned her that much if she was just a temporary squad mate thay didnot do it for any other ones seen so far

Hmm. So she is a teacher...XD. But yeah as much as I would dearly wish to see Mordin or Jack or heck...dare I say it? Jacob as a returning Squadmate it is most unlikley that we will have any of them.

Jack isn't a squadmate:

She is a teacher at Grissom Academy, the students of which you can save during a mission. The choice at the end of the mission runs thus: send the biotic students into battle in a unit led by Jack, at the risk of them being killed in action; or, send the biotic students to wait out the war in safety. (I'm not sure whether or not Jack joins them.) Jack may factor into the war, but not into your party.

Let me put it this way... Snow from Final Fantasy XIII got a pretty noticible re-design, too, but he's still not a party member. Same for Jack. Attention to development doesn't guarantee a particularly huge role.

No. She's only a temporary one available just for 1 mission, as are all the other ME2 only LIs. The rest of the ME2 characters are just cameos

I feel kind of bad that I didn't romance her. She looks good. But her attitude can't fix that. Either way, she isn't going to be a squadmate, just assist in a mission maybe. Besides, out of all of the squadmates, why pick Jack? Seriously that's terrible.

As many have said, Jack is not a squadmate. I've known this for months, but if anyone wants proof just look at the list of war assets.

If you look at the current squad powers list, you can see that basically all the ME1 characters are the squaddies, plus Vega and the 2 secret ones [they're both new - 1 DLC, 1 not] - so Jack, Legion, etc will be showing up to help us, but not as permanent squaddies. They'll basically do what Liara did in LotSB prior to her joining you.

Edit: @ Izmir - is there a list of the War Assets floating around the forums or just out on the web? I didn't notice any here.

Jack was my favorite squadmate in ME2. A real shame I can't have her permanently.

I'll also point out what I have before, that folks who have played the game have also said that Anderson is in fact the only temporary squadmate.

I wish they could have satisfied everyone on this front - but trying to imagine how they'd code a limited squad game so that you could have choice given all the other factors [suicide mission, imports, etc] it would probably have been a nightmare. Would have been awesome though!

Edit: Thanks Izmir, and I stand corrected then on the temp squaddie thing. Bit of a bummer, but - I'm still pleased they at least brought them back in some form with extra importance

Meh seems her character is her better now. Still I hate Jack (no offense to jack fans everyone their own tastes) and I let her get killed in ME2
