Human Adept - Shockwave Issue

Anyone else notice something like this? I'll have to see if the same thing happens on Ghost.

It knocks guardian's shields to side, so you can land a headshot at them... it doesn't work btw if someone has triggered their "knock back animation", and that sucks.
But yeah, Shockwave is more like Shockfail. I don't like it and enemies will always roll away from it (or into it, but because they roll, they aren't affected by it). It's a crap ability. I wish they would give us pull instead.

I think I will just take a single point in SW in the full game because of Guardians and be done with it.

I was talking about MP, not SP, and Vanguards don't have Pull.

I had the same bug - Shockwave goes right through someone, and doesn't inflict ANY damage, doesn't stagger, doesn't drain shields, doesn't throw. Like you haven't used it AT ALL. That is a bug I have encountered not one time and only with this power. That needs fixing.

That said the only actual 'problem' I see with Shockwave, and I should say first I love the ability. It's fantastic, really, super useful and all that. But it flails your screen around. Now for the Adept them selves its minor and your screens fine by the time you can shoot and in single player - no biggy.
Having a screen shake due to your team mates in multiplayer is horrible. Really bad, and as much as I like tossing around as a human adept I often don't because I can't use shockwave to often near my teammates cause there shots go all over the place. It's... just kind of a bummer I guess. Wish they'd take out the excessive screen-shake effecting Team Mates specifically cause that causes more problems then its worth sometimes.

But I have encountered this bug as well, mostly with other powers. For example, I will use Charge and the intended target will just stand there, shooting me, fazed in the least.

I recently started having the same problem with my Human Adept's Shockwave. It works fine at the start of a game, but after awhile it simply stops doing anything. No damage, no stagger, no detonations, nothing. I can have an enemy directly in front of me, spam 10 Shockwaves in a row, and not one of them will do anything at all.
This started happening when I leveled up my Shockwave, speccing it for Radius and Reach. Before that, I never experienced this bug, so I'm guessing it's a bug with one of those. My Vanguard never experiences this bug with her low-level Shockwave either.

Unlike other issues (vanguard getting map-glitched and becoming worthless/falling through the level because of it from charging) it's not clear to me what causes it. I don't think it's a "wave-specific" phenomenon, just that the odds for it go up as the game progresses.
It sort of like social.bioware.comnimation/visual effect, but ceases to have any physical impact in the world. It passes through all opponents without any stagger/damage/etc. of any kind. It can't detonate or do anything else.
I don't think it's... "common", or at least, I've had it come up fewer times than the map-glitch with vanguard. I think it's happened about three times to me. (N7 level 113 or some such).
