Any word if they've started giving out copies yet?
I think they are waiting on Tully Ackland who was stuck in traffic
He apparently ventured 30 miles further south than needed due to faulty coordinates

Oh, I thought the line was in the opposite direction tracelling north, and was launched in Kent.AngelAbaddon wrote...

Wait, where did it end up exactly?
Seems like a long way north, so I'm glad I didn't waste my time.
In Kent, just outside Longfield near Dartford. Wouldn't say its that far North really.
Oh well, I'm north west london, so not disappointed.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the elderly couple. Let's hope they know what to do with it once they've got it, and don't think they're actually queuing up for scones or something ..
I should think they're used to living in fear of the Reaper

40 people have turned up? That's a reasonable crowd for the British, royal family stuff notwithstanding.. We're a nation of geeks! Embittered, cynical, moaning geeks. Yay!
And I bet they formed an orderly queue

Yeah, it was a terrible launch.. But look on the bright side! At least we know the German launch will go well!Hyrule_Gal wrote...
Well I tried to get there but gave up and turned back since it was way too late to snag a copy at that point. If I could have tracked the damn thing I would have been able to get there (wasn't too far from the location) really really disappointed
They'll be ready!!

Nope. From a balloon. Unfortunately they were unable to track him and he was shot down after venturing too close to the palace.

You have read the contest rules, right? There is only meant to be two grand prizes, including a copy of the game, that are given out to the contest winners drawn from the people who manage to find the balloon.
IDK, they must have had a few extra copies of the game to hand but you can't expect them to pack 40+ copies, thats a lot of people gaining full early access isn't it? Plus thats a lot of weight for one weather balloon

newsflash :
a man today was apprehended after an incident at buckingham palace and charged with attempted assault on a royal personage with a video game.
reports emerged that it was unfortunate that her majesty was bending over in the royal gardens at the time of landing.
surgeons successfully removed a game case from her rectum.

Ha, now THAT would be much better publicity for the game than the launches.

Plus, just imagine how much the Queen's bum version of ME3 could fetch on ebay. we're talking, like, pounds.

If this is true I hope it goes a bit further south than Dartford this time (If it had kept going south it would have gone right into my town)

Bioware/EA decide to have this cool/quirky idea so a few lucky people can get their hands on ME3 early, but articles like this are going a little OTT in feeling like they're actually owed something if you ask me.
http://gamingtilldis...or-space-balls/
Comments include:
'Definatley let everyone who registered to play be able to buy the game now.. That’ll make up for it — Just '
with the response:
'That would be a good idea or at a reduced cost. '
Really? Where is this self entitlement coming from? 99% of those complaining have probably done nothing more than follow this from their computers. This only sucks for those who actually went out and tried to track down the balloon, but even then, its a risk, with no garuntee of success. Sortv'e like any competition you enter. Everyone is going to be quick to jump on the 'this was a dismal failure' bandwagon, but didn't the balloons all get sent out? In most cases, havn't people tracked them down and walked away with early copies of ME3 as promised? The first London launch gps went down, but instead the exact coordinates were given out.
