the only thing ive played through the game is an elf mage, and ive been working on a dwarf commoner rogue.
i dont want spoilers and whatnot, so please dont give them to me, just someone to tell me who has played both races which is more involved in the story.
ive read posts saying the dwarf noble story is awesome, and ive read posts saying the human noble has the largest impact on the story, so im kind of torn on which to make next.
ive done the opening sections on them and seen up to where you leave for the grey wardens camp, so dont even really bring that up, its not what im after. i mean beyond that.
so if youve played both, please speak up and give your opinion.
human or dwarf noble for better story?

I vastly prefer dwarf noble. the human noble only has the largest impact IF you decide to go with certain choices presented along the way. The dwarf origin is always awesome.

Dwarf commoner raised a very interesting angle later in the game when I returned to Orzammar

Considering you just heard from dwarve fanboys lol,i have enjoyed being a human noble, not to mention a perk around the end of the game if you so choose.^
Really any origin can be fun if you want to roleplay in that particular scenario.

Play them both if you get the chance. If not go with the dwarf, in my opinion its the best one.

I have played the game twice now, completely...once as a dwarf noble and once as a human noble. They were both absolutely amazing, although both had a small part exclusive to them that kinda let me down (just a tiny bit). But both were nearly flawless, super fun to play thru, and had tons of interesting twists and turns along the way. My advice? Play BOTH! :OD

I have never played dwarf noble.
But personally i felt dwarf commoner was the best followed by city elf and human noble.

It's worth playing, even if you're not a fan of dwarves just suffer it long enough to go back to Orzammar. I've yet to play Dalish does that have any impact on your interactions other than when you go to Dalish camp?

Dwarf Noble origin is very ... intresting in a large number of parts of the game. Human Noble origin is the most based on dealing with Arl Howe.
In my opinion ... Dwarf Noble origin is better.

While the HN is good in how it relates to the rest of the game I find the actual origin story to play a little generic and almost forgettable (run around generic castle, talk to family I as player just barely met and then fight my way out of castle as it is attacked in middle of the night). The DN origin story however has political intrigue, an insight to dwarven culture and politics, and a few interesting twists and turns. Oh and you can even fight in the provings that are being held in your honor while you are being introduced as the Lord Aeducan himself. Not to mention you are a friggin Aeducan

There is different motivation in both HN and DN story
HN is more on revenge in the end, DN is about to achieve greatness in the end.
HN becoming the Warden give his/her chance to seek Arl Howe and seeking vengeance. The story is about how the character carry on the sentimental feeling toward his/her past, his/her family got butchered as the whole, he/she lost his/her land and title, melancholic Warden...
DN however more politically motivated to achieve greatness to his/her people, not necessarily taking revenge on his/her sibling. Politic of Orzamar demand someone become smart and as well notorious...in short being jack asses.. so Lord/Lady Aeducan may have multiple approach in dealing with the matter...becoming a Warden is the key to achieve it.

Also, without spoilers, since I've played all the origins, even if I hadn't finished the game with all of them, but the Dwarven Noble (in my opinion) has the most opportunities for character development as a roleplayer than all the others. Are you arrogant? Are you racist against anything not a dwarf? Are you a traditionalist among dwarfs? Are you a radical? Do you seek glory for yourself and your people, or are you more subtle?
