The problem is simple. To use the origin in-game overlay (useful for multiplayer) I have to change the polling rate of the mouse otherwise the game is unplayable. If I disable origin in-game overlay I do not have any problems.
In my pc setup I have 2 mouses. One is cordless and is bad since the left mouse button does not work that well and the other is the G500 mouse which works just fine. If I use the cordless one there is no problem but with the G500 if I move the mouse the game simply freezes the current frame.
The problem is simple to identify since it is visible in the "press any key to continue" screen, that with the falling debris. With a polling rate of 500 reports/second the image freezes whenever I move the G500 mouse, and that is clearly visible by the falling debris that stops falling. With 250 reports/second there ceases to be any problem. With other games I don't have this problem so I guess the combination of the demo with the in-game overlay is the problem.
