Searched around forum a bit, couldn't find this answer.
I created a Rogue awhile back on normal difficulty. Wanted to know if I change to Hard or Nightmare, will I get achievement or do I need to recreate and select difficulty at character gen?
Does changing difficulty after character creation affect achievement?

Are there even difficulty specific achievements?

I have no specific knowledge of this.
But if like Mass Effect, then you need to have it changed BEFORE you end the Origin story, like Eden Prime.
But I'd start a new character, just to be sure.

Apologies for the double post.
Yes, for the "PC" version there apparently is. Or well, Socialsite based achievements. I even have one for maxing out my Duel Wielder's Skillset.

Hmm, maybe that should have been my first question. Thought I read somewhere that there was a "completed on Hard" and "completed Nightmare"
Doesn't look like it based on this page: http://dragonage.wik...ki/Achievements

Hmm, I didn't know that there were difficulty achievements. I think I changed difficulty during one encounter. How very sad

You're right, they are for pc ONLY.
Yet I have one of them >_O Not surprised really, judging from how this social site has been going.
So if you're on PC start new character, play on Hard or whatever. If not on PC~ Well.. Make your own achievement?
Buy a box of sweets and tell yourself you CANNOT open them BEFORE you finish the game on Hard or Nightmare or Both.

I can't be bothered to look up the direct quote, but BioWare has said the only thing that changes when you change the difficulty, is the difficulty.

There are no achievments, console version nor PC, that are related to difficulty.
There are acheivements on both versions, however, for never falling in battle throughout the game, but you can get it on casual as well as nightmare.
