Hello everyone,

I just finished my first playthrough of ME2. Now I'm wondering if it's possible to walk through all romance options (only one at a time of course) with my continued character, just to experience the scenes. I've finished all my squad members' missions and each of the potential LIs will trigger their romance with the next dialogue.

The problem is, that I don't know how to actually trigger these cutscenes. By that I mean how to advance to the next stage of the romance, rather than having the characters tell me to talk to them later.
It doesn't work by just leaving the Normandy and jumping back on and I currently don't have any active missions left. I'd have to search for them. Now I'm not even sure if there is a sufficient amount of missions left to trigger all the cutscenes, and even if, it would be very time-consuming and repetitive.

Does anyone know a way to get to the next dialogue stage without having to complete a mission first?

I really hope that someone can help me here.

The main romance scene takes place just before the suicide mission and only then
I think you're going to have to go back to an earlier save (or the start) and redo missions

Alright, thanks for your response. I've been experimenting around for a few hours.

After completing the final mission, the romance scene occurs directly after responding positively to the second or third romance dialogue. The only way to advance in dialogue stages seems to be completing tasks that end with a summary screen. Talking, travelling, landing, upgrading or anything alike does not help.
I now have a save file where I can access any romance cutscene directly .
