Soon as I looked over all the possible multiplayer builds I figured the aliens were mostly superior to their human counterparts with the exceptions of two classes: the human vanguard looked vastly superior to the Drell and the Quarian engineer didn't look quits as good as the human version with Sentry Turret instead of Combat Drone. Most everyone in these here forums seemed to reinforce my speculations too. So of course it turns out my first three alien unlocks are all the Drell vanguard and I was dead-on about that class sucking hard compared to the human (or any other class/race for that matter).

Finally got another alien and it's the Quarian Engineer. Go figure. Also worth mentioning is the fact that I've always hated Tali with a passion (and in turn pretty much her whole race by association, except 'Reeger of course - who could hate him?). But just when I thought I was down on my luck like Houdini when the last fist struck, I gave it a go. SURPRISINGLY FUN.

The fire and ice combos never get old, and it might not quite be as handy-dandy as a Combat Drone, but the Sentry Turret will still end up being your homey fo' life. It requires far more strategical placement than the Drone so it's rewarding to effectively block off a chokepoint and be able to hold your own b/c Sentry's got your back. Cryo explosion chains are also just off the hook; love freezing enemies with the icy shards of their own once-frozen, now-shattered comrades. Oh and that bunny hop sidestep is the shiznit. Just a sleek and fun class all around.

TL;DR: Quarian Engineer was easily the last unlock I wanted to get, but after giving it a try I'm pleasantly surprised and it's a new fav. Anyone else have a similar experience?

I am surprised to how awesome the Infitrator class is. I've played all of the classes throughout my Mass Effect career but the infilitrator. And I must say, I am bowing down to the infiltrator class now. And Salarians make it more fun.

Asari Adept. Now I know what everyone knows -- that they're overpowered -- but when I first got it I was like, "Meh, Asari are boring, I don't like Adepts, how good can this be, yada yada..."

Quarian Engineer snuck up on me too. I didn't think it'd be boring, but I didn't think it'd be quite as fun as it is. I just love seeing the Cerberus operatives flail around as my turret sets them aflame.

Well sadly enough I got exactly what I wanted - A Krogan Soldier. Yes he is great, thwak and down goes the phantom, but still...I am getting bored with him suprisingly fast. Bioware knew what they were doing with those random unlocks. I was never bored with the demo before I got him.

Drell Vanguard, unlocked early and avoided it for some time until I finally gave it a try. Very cool moves, extremely fragile and found that more fun than I anticipated.

I didn't think I'd like the krogan soldier, but he turned out to be a blast to play.

Asari Adept. Yes, I had heard how powerful they were on the forum, but I figured it was just exaggeration.

As it turns out, it was not. Asari Adepts are superior to Human Adepts in every single way.

Quarian engineer was pretty good. The turret looks rubbish but is actually really effective in combat.

Now that not every enemy has protections cryo is pretty useful. Incendiary blast has always been useful.

Thing is Quarian Engineer is my only unlock. I want more aliens.

I saw someone playing Asari Adept and she was amazing (the player was also a she by the way). Stasis, throw and warp.

I however want the class with biotic pull. Is that the Drell Vanguard?

Grenades are, well grenades. Effective, useful but boring.

The class that surprised me the most is Krogan Soldier. I don't really care about soldiers but I saw a Krogan soldier in combat and he was amazing. Krogan sentinels along with Turian sentinels look amazing too.

I WANT MORE ALIENS!! COME ON VETERAN PACKS!! STOP BEING RACIST AND GIVE ME MORE ALIENS!!

Krogan Soldier and Asari Adept. Both classes I never cared for much in past games, but I had a ton of fun with them so far in the demo. The asari adept was unlocked in my starter pack, but I never used it until N7 rank 80 or so. It's still only like level 8, but the time I've put into it was a real shock. The Krogan soldiers blood rage is what made that so fun haha

I want to play as a Krogan. I don't care if the Krogan has no powers, no guns and no heavy weapon. I still want to unlock a Krogan. Krogan are awesome!!!!

I also want to play as Asari, Drell, Turian and Salarian.

Well at least I can play Quarian. Makes a change from playing as a human.

The Infiltrator came out of nowhere and absolutely dominates everything. I did not expect it to be so good. Their Invis lets them revive and hack without fear of getting hit. And the Salarian Infiltrator is a beast with shield steal.

I was really dissapointed with the Quarians. The turret is way way better than the drone which doesn't feel like attacking all the time. But Quarians don't have overload leaving them defenseless against shielded enemies. But they do recharge way faster than humans.

Drells are really bad. They can rip riot shields off which is a BIG plus but their melee and side dodges are goofy. And they need to button their god damn shirt.

The Quarian Engineer. I do not like Quarians, even less engineers, and she unlocked after the Asari Adept. The flamethrower turret is crazy (stuns multiple enemies, strips shields easily) and the flame burst/cryo combo is just sick. Give the girl a carnifex and watch how everything turns into awesome.

I have been playing the human adept up to level 19 then I got the asari adept and now my life is completed. I enjoy providing support for my team mates and I care about the whole experience of playing the game.

I remembered that in one game just me and this quarian and it was the best game I ever played. The quarain saved my butt so many times.

I believed BioWare has the best multiplayer game for RPG player.

Human Vanguard. Playing ME2 Vanguard to death I thought Nova was contrary to the class design and suicidal.

Then I had a teammate who blindly Charge-->Nova-->Charge spammed the entire match -- Blatantly blindly charging the first thing he saw, and blatantly prioritizing a high score over anything else.

Made me want to barf.

I was utterly surprised and disappointed when, after levelling my lovely human adept to level 20, I unlocked Asari Adept. It's the same difference between the ground and the heaven.

Quarian Engineer for me. I never played the Engineer class in any Mass Effect. I unlocked the Quarian Engineer and had a blast playing as her. The turret really helps. My whole team got wiped out with just me left and I managed to camp in one of the "office buildings" in Firebase Ghost and take out the rest of the Cerberus goons including a Phantom by spamming my turret and incinerate. Looking forward to unlocking her again come release day.

Human Engineer. Chain overload - scoped pistol combo is a win button. Seriously, just imagine SP Shepard Engineer... Overload, Incinerate, Cryo, Drone, Turret AND better cooldowns. One man Army.

A good combo of Asari Adept + Human/Salarian Infiltrator is capable of taking on basically everything.

Add a Human Engineer and a Human Vanguard and you get the perfect 4, at least in my MP experience.

Yeah definitely drell vanguard, surprisingly fun.

At first I was all adept adept adept... asari adept...
And I'm not a drell fanatic.

But I am a pull fanatic, and now charge can detonate.
And the movement speed and agility is fantastic for just running through things while taking little damage.
