I just experienced my PS3 completely freezing up for the fourth time while in the lobby. My name will suddenly disappear from the lobby but the lobby is still up. This has not happened all at once. It is over the course of the last week or so. I have to do a hard reboot for my system because it completely locks up.
I don't know if anyone else has had this issue, but I thought I would report it anyway. The PS3 is good. It only freezes with this demo for some reason.

I also had this problem. Just once, because I deleted the demo after.
What scared me was the system recover menu that appeared after the reboot. Never had the system recovery pop up on my PS3 before.
Edit: just did a quick check on the XBOX boards and they seem to be having the same problem.

The system recovery menu was just recently added as a part of a PS3 firmware update, it'll happen everytime the system has an improper shutdown now.lbott wrote...

As far as the freezing issue is concerned it has happened to me a few times playing the demo, but never with the same circumstances. So I've just chalked it up to being a buggy demo and am hoping the issue is eventually resolved.

I haven't experienced that when playing the demo.
I have however seen it numerous times after my PS3 crashes when playing Skyrim. Scared me too, but it seems to be quick to resolve.
