Silly question but how do you know you've been kicked rather than dropping out?

Now see that I'll 100% admit I did not know, as I have yet to play one I never knew vans don't get sheilds unless they charge.

The nova ability uses up shields and with a successful charge after you'll get the shields back. That's why we charge around all over the place.

Yesterday, after winning a match on silver, I'm immediately kicked from the lobby. Mind you I had the top score, and yadayadayada...why? lol. I have an N7 rating of 85, while the others were in the 40s and 50s. Today in Bronze, I joined a lobby with a team that were all less than N7 rating of 7, and I was immediately kicked as well. Do we not get all the same points?!?!

I feel your pain, I got kicked out 3 times in row today. My N7 rank was 119 then, seriosly the kick system is a bit flawed when other players can kick you for no valid reason, the kick system should only be there to kick inactive players

I have had this happen to me on several occasions. But N7 rank is capped at 120, what can ya do.

I sometimes join silver lobbies until I get people who I believe can handle gold. Even got a good match and two new XBL buddies that way. Just about anytime when someone wanted to kick me "just because" they were little trolls who couldn't shoot an atlas if they stood right infront of it. (Or just standing around until everyone is down, trying to hero it, get ass kicked, ragequit).

What the hell is wrong with these people?

You get a couple of big red "x"s next to your name.

plus it says "you where kicked from the lobby" (or something like that) when you are kicked

What the... *sigh* Is that what they said to you? People are such asses sometimes. I'm sorry that happened to you. I played all day and most of the time had the highest score, so if I was indeed kicked for playing an adept then it's their loss. I will play with anyone, any level as long as there is at least some balance of class.

Word by word. My adept was 14 at the time BTW. I play with anyone on Bronze, hell, once I had a match with 4 Vanguards, a lot of fun that was.

On Silver, I try to find a match that has at least 3 different classes, other than that, no problems. I only play on Gold if I want to get my ass kicked so it doesn't really matter who I play with...

I did not unlock the Asari yet. Perhaps you should ask before barking?

Amen to that my friend stasis are one of the most useful abilites to have at the tougher waves

Click on their name, and then look for the 'kick player' button at the bottom.

Wait, what? Finished a Gold challenge last night with two Asari Adepts. They're great for crowd-controlling multiple entrance points. Especially when phantoms start spilling in.

While you guys are right that some people are simply unpleasant trolls, looking for a group they can always be on top of, sometimes that isn't the case.
People play mass effect so they can PLAY Mass Effect. If a low level character runs around a map in multiplayer, doing nothing but following the trail of corpses that a higher level character leaves behind, it isn't any fun to play. Playing with similar level characters or players of a similar level (equal or near equal N7 rating) makes a player feel important. Like he's part of the team, and not surplus to requirements.
I myself enjoy competing for points with high-end players who know what they're doing. My buddy Phil and I routinely try to outdo each other, and almost always top the leaderboards in our games. We're just like that, and i can understand that feeling of competitiveness as well as the feeling of simply wanting to be USEFUL.
In short, rather than ****ing about getting kicked, just go with the flow. Not everyone plays for the same reasons you do. In multiplayer games of any fashion, you've got to expect that, and live with it.

I got kicked out of a match because I didn't want to be Vanguard (the other 3 were)! Clear classism, this is war!

I try and mix up my play style depending on the other players. If i'm playing with people who are starting off I try and stand back and let them rack up the kills.

As people say, it's a team game. The most fun I've had in a session was playing an Asari Adept with another Asari Adept and two Human Vanguards. We adepts just kept throwing out Stasis and Warp while giving cover fire and the Vanguards charges about detonating everything. I had over 75 assists. It was insane!
