I think that this whole DLC thing is ridiculous and the Prothean should be part of the game on the disc or at least free, but I'm not going to cancel my pre-order. My love for this series outweighs my anger at the marketing of this dlc.

-Only problem with the prothean DLC is that it will make no sense in the lore or the logic of the ME setting. Id pay 10 bucks not to see a prothean companion at all. 20 if they changed the ragdoll, skin and dialogue to a batarian that really hated humans.

People need to remember that videogames are a luxury item. Jacking up the price of bread or milk or any other essential item? That's a slap in the face. A part of an entirely optional entertainment package being withheld for a separate purchase? That's not a slap in the face. At most, it's a shady business practice, but even that's debatable.

People, we're living in an era where we have super computers in our phones and can freely spend $60+ multiple times a year for top-of-the-line entertainment experiences, many of which we'll spend hundreds of hours in, and all of which we don't need. If you don't want it, don't buy it. But don't use hyperbole to prove the point of "I don't like EA doing this." It belittles the actual issues of the world, most of which the top videogames crusaders are likely ignorant.

Just saying.

OP, you are not being forced to buy anything. So if you don't like it, don't buy it. Game development is a business, not a charity. Also, based off of the leaks, the Prothean does not have a major role in the story.

i hope you joking on the bioware is evil argument because if you arent you and alot of people have alot to learn about the gaming industry seeing as bioware isnt the only dev to charge for dlc

I was being sarcastic based off of threads on BSN over the last couple of weeks. Notice how in the second block of sentences I mention that no one is being forced to buy anything, and that Bioware is for profit company. The OP should just quit whining and not buy the dlc/game if he is really that mad.

Trust me, Bioware doesnt care. Its like if 3 people said 'You know what? I'm not going to the Olympics!'

There are more than enough people who will still go (or in this case buy the game), that it literally doesnt matter if some people dont.
