Based on your MP experience, how would you spec Shepard in SP?

Keep in mind , you get a total of 181 points at level 60, but that seems too end-gamey. So let's start with the initial 61 points you get for importing and go from there...

I considered putting this in the gameplay forum but this thread is more about how your dabbling in MP has influenced your opinion over the value of the powers available.

Sorry, but I have a few questions regarding this before I get to my answer. :P

We get 181 points at 60? How many powers do we have to put them in? I thought we only had 9 powers, if you added in a bonus power, but that means you could max out everything except for one power. Also, we get 61 points for importing? Do we only get a few levels for importing or do we get the full 30 or does it work another way?

Now that that's out of the way, my answer: first playthrough I'll probably spec my Vanguard as a ME2 style Vanguard. Carry two guns, have Charge be an intermittent type deal, stuff like that. So Max out Charge first(21), a few points in Nova(31), some incendiary ammo(37), one point in everything else except for cryo(40) and the rest to max out Assault Mastery to get those reputation and weight capacity bonuses(61).

Second playthrough on, however, I might spec him as a multiplayer Charge+Nova spammer to see how that plays in SP.

8 powers maxed and 1 at rank 4, or 7 maxed and 2 at rank 5. Yup, that's pretty much everything at max.

You start at level 30 if you import a level 30 ME2 Shep, that's where those 61 points come from. I'm guessing importing a lvl 25 will start you at lvl 25 and so on.

Well, actually there are different specs for powers in SP and MP, like different evolutions. BUT Here's what I will do:

1) Play Adept.
2) Max out throw for detonation, radius, and double.
3) Max out pull for damage, radius and double.
4) Max out warp for damage, armor/barrier damage, strength.
5) Max out Passive for biotic power.
6) Get bonus Stasis power, and max for Heavy and Damage.
7) Put remaining into fitness.

Carry some heavy pistol that is going to leave my cooldown bonus at +200.

I think the difference is in the Passives, like Alliance Training, Quarian Defender etc... I believe core skills like Charge and Overload retain their SP evolutions.

As a Soldier:
1. Less (if any) focus on my own Ammo Powers
2. Focus on maxing the two Passive Powers (Fitness, Combat Mastery) to defensive, strength, and maximum Reputation bonus ASAP
3. Max out Concussive Shot for cooldown and damage (good fallback if i'm 'bushed and I need to reload)
4.Upgrade Frags to the first 3 upgrades
5. Max out AdrenRush for a mix between Health Bonus and Weapon Damage
6. Possibly Max out my Bonus Power, depending on what it is
7. Spend any leftover points on Ammo Powers: Priority on Incendiary, then Disruptor.
8. Only put the one point into Cryo Ammo (never found it useful at all)

Then I grab a Revenant, GPS, Phalanx and Widow and go all Rambo on the Reapers.

I remove Shepard's brain and surgically implant it into a krogan.

I pity the orifices of whoever his LI is.

I believe Stasis is a bonus power, not an adept power. I could check, but I'm sure you guys can correct me if I'm wrong. Use Stasis with a Soldier while in AR( there's an evolution for this) and unload. Triple your weapon damage, lol...

Vanguard all the way.
Charge: Force and damage, Power synergy, Barrier
Nova: Force and damage, Half blast, Pierce
Alliance Training: Damage and capacity, Power damage
Fitness: Durability, Shield recharge, Fitness expert
Well, thats for MP at least. Will for sure get cryo team ammo if I can.

Based on my experiences in multiplayer I figured out I really like combining the Sentry Turret flamethrower, Incinerate with double damage on frozen targets and Cryo Blast so will likely end up giving my Shepard (Who will definitely be an Engineer first time around) those abilities as soon as possible.

Stasis is indeed not a power for Adepts (Nor Vanguards or Sentinels).

Not sure if it would be a bonus power though, but probably.

CQC Infiltrator is a frickin killing machine - decloak, shotgun some enemies, heavy melee last enemy in group. By then, you can recloak and escape. Rinse and repeat. Oh and maybe some grenades - grenade throwing doesn't break cloak.

-Fitness: Take all melee damage bonuses, especially Martial artist and Melee Synergy
-Cloak: Any evolution of this is good, other than bonus power.
-Sticky Grenade - Max out for some nice point-blank grenade throwing
-class Power - Mix of weapon damage and cooldown reduction via weight capacity increase
-Weapons: Scimitar shotgun + any sniper rifle
-Sabotage: Some random points in here to trivialise any encounter with turrets.

This build made possible thanks to the reworking of Cloak's cooldown.

I believe any damaging power fired while unde cloak gets the basic cloak damage bonus. You could get Energy Drain if it's a bonus power and play like the Salarian Infiltrator in MP.

I can't wait to do this.  I made my Shepard look like Money Mayweather, and he'll suit this role just fine.

Cloaking and Melee = Space Ninja. Or Phantom.
