I'm over N7 100 and I got the Asari Adept only yesterday.

Long story short: any given locked character is pretty hard to unlock.

If you're having it easy with credits, just spam Recruit Packs, it ought to be there sooner or later (hopefully not later ._.)

Holy crow, how did you get that percentage?

From looking the the ME3 modding thread. 15% chance of pulling a gold character card, then there are 4 golds, so 3.75%. You get one chance to pull a gold though, otherwise it gives you a blue card, so less than 3.75%.

Silver until you either find a good gold team or have enough skills and weapons to pull through. A complete silver run gives more credits than an incomplete gold.

I'd suggest staying away from Gold unless you have a solid pre-made team. It's a nightmare to play with randoms, as more often than not the coordination will be terrible and you won't get past wave 5.  Silver has become pretty doable lately, I guess people have gotten used to the points of interest on the maps and have learned to obtain map control. I think that Silver is actually better than Bronze in terms of difficulty, as chances are you'll be in a team with people who are more experienced than Bronze players. That being said, there's nothing bad in Bronze. I'd recommend Silver.
