So I'm replaying ME1 and some things are making me wonder...

What exactly is the connection here? In ME1 Cerberus missions have Rachni and Thorian Creepers, both creatures that ExoGeni produced. I may be rusty on my lore, but I think the official explanation was that Cerberus either stole from EG or they were sent 'samples'.

This doesn't really make sense though. I think it goes deeper. What if ExoGeni is the public face of Cerberus?

Think about it, from what we know of both companies, it makes sense. ExoGeni is extremely unethical, they ordered the Feros colony exterminated when Shepard got rid of the geth, didn't they? Also, I don't recall any non-humans working for the company, at least not in positions of power. Jeong, Ventralis, Lizbeth, most of the scientists... all humans. Many of which seem to work for ExoGeni's suspiciously extensive security force... Cerberus commandos, anyone?

Realistically, Cerberus needs some way to release results from their twisted tests. You can't just study the effects of Thresher Maws, you need to make a viable patent and release it via a human company to better humanity as a whole. ExoGeni is the perfect middleman.

Not to mention all the 'enhancements' Cerberus personnel have. Miranda's been genetically altered, right? By who? Who better to bring Shepard to life then the people who recreated the rachni?

Now, it's been confirmed Cerberus is with the Reapers now, yes? ExoGeni's been there already, remember how the Noveria guys would try to kill Shepard on Benezia's orders? They've been playing both sides since ME1. No wonder TIM wanted to bring back Shepard, he knew the damage he did to ExoGeni.

I don't remember much from ME2, is there anything else to support/discredit my theory?

ExoGeni is an independant company in which both Saren and Cerberus had shares. Also Miranda is a test tube baby tried and true.

As for Cerberus/ExoGeni connection, there are few scientists and other people that are loyal to Cerberus. But ExoGeni is not a front for them.

Cerberus has a number of shell corporations that either work for them, are owned/funded primarily by them, or are covers for Cerberus operations. Cord-Hislop (whose logo is the one that's plastered all over everything, including our poor Normandy) is one, for example. I always assumed Exo-Geni was a similar thing, funded at least partially by Cerberus.
