Freaking Grenades and the Soldier class

Also, freaking fix grenades. Their blast radius is miniscule, they hardly ever land where you want them to, and their capacity is absolutely pathetic for a power that's basically on par with the rest of your powers. (yes I know they don't have a recharge bar, they still suck) Also, they seem incredibly buggy when I try to replenish them. Sometimes when I go up to ammo crates I get 1, sometimes I don't get any. For a power that's already pretty underwhelming, it's kind of a slap in the face to barely ever get to use it in the first place.

concussive shot is awesome. I remove everything but the assault rifle and I have a wail of a time. guardians just move their shields out of the way for me.
Ill use ad rush minimally, usually if it's a long distance to the target and I want to make sure that every shot that hits, hits hard.

Adrenaline rush is very situational, sure as hell i won't put as much points in when i get the game.

The irony is, that the Turian Sentinel for example, is everything the human soldier is missing. With shields and health maxed, he's a true juggernaut, mowing down everything.

You think it's cool to switch the h and t around?Impulse and Compulse wrote...
First off, let me just say that the (human) soldier is easily the worst class in hte game.

For someone that just wants an effective shooter class, the soldier does well. I have never even used concussive shot and I am still pretty darn effective with the Soldier.

Or it's a typo since he spelled it correctly two other times in that exact same sentence.

At least your Frag Grenades actually DO something. The Krogan Soldier's Incendiary Grenades seem to do as much as hurling bottles of hot chili sauce at enemies. (Even direct hits on enemies in cover don't force them into the typical "I'm on fire!" dance.)
Imho the Human Soldiers grenades are quite effective, you can easily take out a squad of guardians with one of them on any difficulty - that's not too bad.
Adrenaline Rush can have some impact as well, if used properly. Triggering it instantly replenishes your ammo clip, With the right timing you can unload the entire ammo stock of an assault rifle like it was one single clip, or can take two rapid shots with a single action sniper rifle.
Also I had the impression it does slow down the enemy you're aiming at slightly, gotta pay more attention next time.

Time dilation cannot exist in multiplayer. It does not slow down enemies. =(

I play human soldier, and it's pretty damn awesome. I 'm running a low-weight high weapon damage build - MAX Adrenaline rush for shield boost + weapon damage, max frag grenades are fricking beast. Oh, and by carrying Avenger + Phalanx I get to use ARush every 3.5 seconds.
Also, a friend is running a shredder concussive shot build. Concussive shot every 1.5 seconds is pretty good as well.

soldier, male, works just dandy. Just gotta play it right. If anything, playing well as a hu-soldier is only a testament to your skill, since all you get is your gun and 5 second bullet damage increases.

ad rush: 25% dmg resistance, +50% max shields, +35% wpn dmg. plus you shoot twice as fast to replace the loss of slo-mo. upgrade him for max hp/shields, add on wpn dmg from alliance training, put armor piercing rounds on him and he's a walking tank.
his grenades are the cure for phantoms, even just the first three ranks can deal 870 at 6.5m
but his real power is shredder concussive shot. that alone puts me way into first place in 80% of the games i play. learn2deal

What kind of argument of that? When I see someone using a bad class I don't think "that player must be good for using a gimped class", in fact, I think the opposite.

I know it makes even less sense, but I think that's "whale of a time"

I cannot recall if human soldier's adrenaline rush is simply a gimped version of Shepard's, but if it is they should receive at least a minor boost to damage resistance and/or weapon damage to compensate.
I personally have a lot more respect for a skilled human soldier player than a skilled human vanguard player. Ability spam is far easier to do than using weapons proficiently.Eric13574 wrote...

Just because you feel gimped using the soldier class doesn't mean someone else does.Eric13574 wrote...

I'm sure there's lots of players who enjoy playing soldier and are very effective...in bronze.

I think you misunderstood what i ment. I thought what ever enemy you are aiming at while Adrenaline Rush is active just moves slower not the entire battlefield, but i took a close look and guess it wasjust an optical illusion caused by the shader effect.Time dilation cannot exist in multiplayer. It does not slow down enemies. =(
It would be a very nice addition for the entire team though.
