What is 'AFK'? [/dumb question]
It means Away From Keyboard.
And while being able to kick someone mid-game might be useful sometimes, many will kick others simply because they "stole their kills" or such bull****.

Tried to cap a screenshot, but all I got was an all black picture, luckily my friend took one, so here's the proof:

What' most infuriating is those guys don't just stand their idle, contributing nothing, they also block the spot for those people that might join. I'll take a random level one character joining via quickmatch and dying every three seconds over these pathetic a**holes anytime. They at least do try to play the game.

Two events come to mind
- one time I was put into a game (quick match), but not completely. I could not move at all, for several waves. (Basically I stood there like an idiot for a long while, but through no fault of my own). Eventually the game stopped "communicating" and "loading", and I could complete the mission as part of a duo.
- another game, in the middle of a wave my attacks stopped registering. Neither powers nor weapons did any damage. I could not even reload or switch weapons. This lasted at least two full waves. Obviously I wasn't very useful. Considered leaving, but it was at the end, the other 3 had no trouble, and in the the middle of wave 10 I could suddenly start dealing out some damage again.
Not saying you didn't encounter genuine AFKing a**holes.
OP make it sound like ME3 demo multiplayer is full of this behaviour. That would be news to me; I have not seen it at all on PC.

The first thing you mention happened to me too once. However, I could still move my gun, even though everything else didn't work. The guy we had just stood there, frozen, for six (!!!) waves. Even if I can't move anything at all and can not communicate with the others telling them I glitched out, it SHOULD be "common" sense to come to the conclusion that: "Damn, I'm of no use, going to quit!" instead of just uselessly staying there. It was on Gold, an empty spot in the team is better than one occupied by a useless character for obvious reasons.

That's not an excusable reason at all.
You should DC, do your crap and go back.

And there is also this stuck bug that only got worse since ME2. Gladly, then they died, other players could follow mode me and see I wasn't quite "idle".

Actually had this happen once and thought it was hilarious. I was extremely high above the map on my screen but my team said i was under the map on theirs lol.

Do your homework and household chores BEFORE play time. Don't burden other people with it.DXLelouch15 wrote...

I'm on Xbox and Ive been seeing it a lot. Don't want it to continue in retail as this could ruin the game.

yeah, it would suck, but in the live version of the game once we have text chat at least we will be able to notify the rest of our team when we spot an AFKer and then disband the match

You can't just go back.
If you could, I would also log out and log back in when I fall out of Noveria.
But then I'd also lose the exp and credits I have obtained so far, and that's just a no-no.

Seriously. When you want the shooter crowd, I guess you have to end up putting up with the immature portion as well.i keep getting into matches, silver mind you, where people just afk the whole time. Either have a system where we can boot mid match, or do like bungie does and credit/xp ban afkers. This is ridiculous and childish.
-Polite
I have played a bunch of matches and not once I have seen an AFKer. So either you are really out of luck or... drama much?
Quitters yes, and I am also guilty. But seriously AFKers are more than rare.
