Well I am glad they keep me in when the telephone rings or my wife or baby cries for some moments attention...A kick button would be good nonetheless.
Maybe you should ask bioware for a quit match button.......oh yea we have that.

I had a match where one of the guys ANNOUNCED he was going AFK. "You guys have this; I'm going to get something to eat." He parked himself in a corner and wasn't around to help when we got swarmed and lost the match a few waves later.

Seriously. When you want the shooter crowd, I guess you have to end up putting up with the immature portion as well.i keep getting into matches, silver mind you, where people just afk the whole time. Either have a system where we can boot mid match, or do like bungie does and credit/xp ban afkers. This is ridiculous and childish.

And as to polite, i do relize that that is waht you're talking about, I was just replying and saying that, people should still be allowed to afk, for short things, but yeah, people who are gone for like, any long amount of time, like in that screenie where the guy didnt have any poitns what so ever is really annoying. Thankfully, I've only ran into that maybe once on my own.

I would support a sort of credit jackpot system, similar to Halo: Reach. If a team member is caught not acting for too long a time, or leaves mid game, they lose a potentially large amount of rewards.
However, an in game kick button would be abused to no end. This opens up the possibility for griefers to kick randoms at the last moment and invite their friends, who would then get credit despite not helping, and leave the random with nothing. A kick function operates largely on the honor system, and honor is not a given in multiplayer gaming.
You might want to change your thread title to Leechers in multiplayer. Going AFK is one thing, but a leecher is a specific name for any person who abuses a cooperative game's sharing system to gain rewards even though they don't contribute. They are a plague in any game like this.

I got all but one class up to LvL 20 now. Not bragging. Just means a lot of hours.
I have only encountered one AFKer on PC.
Still, an auto-kick for inactivity would seem fair enough.

What is 'AFK'? [/dumb question]
It means Away From Keyboard.
And while being able to kick someone mid-game might be useful sometimes, many will kick others simply because they "stole their kills" or such bull****.

Sure they were all AFK?
o.
- another game, in the middle of a wave my attacks stopped registering. Neither powers nor weapons did any damage. I could not even reload or switch weapons. This lasted at least two full waves. Obviously I wasn't very useful. Considered leaving, but it was at the end, the other 3 had no trouble, and in the the middle of wave 10 I could suddenly start dealing out some damage again.

Two events come to mind
- one time I was put into a game (quick match), but not completely. I could not move at all, for several waves. (Basically I stood there like an idiot for a long while, but through no fault of my own). Eventually the game stopped "communicating" and "loading", and I could complete the mission as part of a duo.

Not saying you didn't encounter genuine AFKing a**holes.
OP make it sound like ME3 demo multiplayer is full of this behaviour. That would be news to me; I have not seen it at all on PC.
The first thing you mention happened to me too once. However, I could still move my gun, even though everything else didn't work. The guy we had just stood there, frozen, for six (!!!) waves. Even if I can't move anything at all and can not communicate with the others telling them I glitched out, it SHOULD be "common" sense to come to the conclusion that: "Damn, I'm of no use, going to quit!" instead of just uselessly staying there. It was on Gold, an empty spot in the team is better than one occupied by a useless character for obvious reasons.
